i own this mouse and i really like it. my major problems with it are that the two buttons on the left are a bit high up, so i have to change my grip to get to them. The software is awesome. Cooler Master just came out with a new mouse that looks cool too. I love the side-by-side buttons under the mouse. They are easy to reach and for battlefield i use them for "grenade" and "knife". The cost is good too, I got mine for around $55 usd i think.

The major problem I have is the center wheel rolls too easy. I usually use the center button to bring back my main rifle weapon and the push is hard and often i roll the wheel a tad and end up with my pistol.

Well looks a pretty decent mouse... nice performance, features, design...

i think you can't ask for more at this price range and performance... adaptation to one another is difficult... what is comfortable for one person is not comfortable for other persons

though i would like to see a full picture of the base of the mouse... the upper part was cut...

i saw that in the rear end there are weights to adjust the mouse

A friend of mine used to work on sensors similar to what mice use. His biggest argument against these "ultra high DPI" laser mice is it is worthless for 99% of users. The problem isn't the mouse, it's the mousepad itself. The mousepad is typically a fabric, that doesn't look much different to a mouse at 1000 DPI than 5000 DPI. How you could possibly claim a 5000 DPI mouse is better than a 1000 DPI mouse with a regular ol' mousepad is beyond him. I'll agree that he doesn't have all the answers, but does anyone know of any scientific tests performed to prove that the DPI really does matter? I give more value to empirical evidence than someone saying it works better. Someone just telling me they like the mouse doesn't cut it for me. The placebo effect is much stronger than many people realize.

I have a Logitech Performance Mouse MX(uses darkfield laser tracking technology). I haven't seen any mention of DPI on it or with any documentation(I have to wonder if this is because the DPI argument is all about marketing). I do know that the mouse seems to track the surface much more effectively than any other mouse I have ever owned. I literally can put the mouse on my hand using my palm as a mousepad and the mouse tracks perfectly. After doing that quick little test I found the mouse worth every penny. With other mice they have a hard time tracking an oddly shaped surface. I actually bought it to use on my glass coffee table when sitting on the floor or on the arm rest of my leather couch when sitting in my couch(HTPC for my living room). I'm not entirely filled in on how the darkfield technology works, but I find it tracks the surface of the mouse better than any mouse I have ever used.

Even if there is a 5000 or 1000 dpi can a person's motor control really take advantage of it? I have found no difference in gaming over the years with a high end gaming mouse over a standard desk mouse. What I look for in a gaming mouse is a sensible button control layout and software that lets me bind a key to any mouse button. Also since I hold a mouse using a claw grip I need a mouse with side buttons that are easy to manipulate which are usually more symmetrical designs.

I bought this and went back to my Lachesis after a couple hours. Seems to be a common issue where the nose dips down ever so slightly when you double-click, making it pretty inaccurate. So, for FPS its pretty much useless.
Stuck with a £50 spare!

Pal, I couldnt care less if you didnt have that issue with it - I did, and others did too so that makes it a money-waster for me.
