That 60C is at load with the CPUs at 4.3Ghz.. my CPUs draw a lot more power than yours so I guess the temp is ok. I can't tighten it down more, and it's mounted the right way (had to do it several times due to a mixup in the manual on which pad to use). Even with the stock air cooling, the VRM 0 temps went straight to 45C in bios for me, so I guess the sensor may be out of whack (like most sensors on this board are).

    Edit: Attached idle shot
    Well.. 10s of idle time

    Water at 20C.

Jcool, my cpu0 pwm temps are high also with a fb block ..... I actually added a 60 mm Fan directly over them to keep the below 60c. I was hoping your were better

Hunter, 60C is not "high" for digital VRM
It may seem high, but consider they are at least reated for 135C operating. It's like running your GPU at 45C instead of 100C with the stock cooler.
Besides, most sensors on this SR-2 are so out of whack that I wouldn't begin to trust any of those readings. I mean what the hell.. CPU0 always shows 10C or more higher than CPU1, VRM 1 is way too low, etc.

Didn't get around to benching last night by the way, too much stuff to catch up on. This is my work PC after all

STEvil, haven't measured yet. Not sure I want to know :fresse:

Yeah, probably those sensors are off. Some of your temps looks really off, tho. We need an infrared-reading to find out exact temps. We also need DMM-readings for temps and voltages om SR-2. Anybody got any of these yet?

If you sent me the system I could run it under an infrared camera for ya...

But somehow I don't see anyone willing to send a system like that, and I can't send the camera.

24 hour prime stable? Please, I'm 24/7/365 WCG stable!

VRM 0 is too high and VRM 1 too low, but who cares as long as it's running great
The 10C higher Coretemps by board default on CPU 0 do nag me though

Yeah those sensors seams to be really off, but your temps are are really good. Those VRM are rated for really high-temp, and you got ~40'C to go before it would make any instability or other problems. So you are on the same side, even if those sensors are really crappy.

Yes, the CPU#0 core-temp runs a lot hotter. I fixed it by using tow different CPU-cooler. The good one on CPU#0 has reduced it to 4-3'C.

Long overdue update - I seem to recall I promised decent pics of my SR-2 setup. Here they are (see post 1)
Friend of mine took them with a DSLR.
