but they come with that extra "somthing" really nice packaging pre-wired for daisychain. tons of fun little things in the boxes with em.
Are you serious?. . .you can get push/pull GT's for that much. . .and that daisy chain wasn't to difficult to do to the 92mm GT's I have on a GFX cooler.

AFAIK, this phenomenon is occurring only to distilled water setups so it's related to the water. There are a couple of variables:

    1. Distilled water is slightly acidic due to the amount of CO2 dissolved in it. Acidity depends on the manufacturer and how much it has been exposed to air prior bottling and after we've opened it.

For the guys who have this problem, is the distilled water fresh? or has the bottle been opened and exposed to air for a few days?

    2. Rads - Were the rads thoroughly flushed prior to usage?

    3. Was PTNuke used in the system OR just pure silver? How much PTNuke was used? (4 drops for 1 litre is the normal amount)

Yes, I agree, but I wasnt just talking about the vinegar reacting with silver, but with the copper also. Your first point talks about acidity of the water, would this be acidic enough to dilute copper slightly, than something happening with this solution in that it reacts with silver more easily?

    I am only guessing here.....

Yes but its the fact that they come with it already done. They take that extra step to add the little things that make it worth the stupid 100$ spent.. because if I went with yates etcc. I would end up upgrading anyways so. The only thing left to buy now is deltas

I had the same thing happen to my less then a month old heatkiller cu 3.0. All i ran was some distilled water with a little ptnuke in mine. And one day my water wasn't even flowing, so i thought i would just slap another 355 with a power top in the line and move it one out. Wrong both pumps wouldn't even move it.

That's not the same thing, thats some kind of gunk in your loop. That doesn't look like corrosion

    More like plasticizer?

I'm trying to figure it out but thats definately not what happens to the Heatkiller blocks...the fins just start turning black...has nothing to do with the jet plate. I've got the LT though so my top isn't copper but I still don't think it would clog the jet plate up like that.

I'm not sure, like i stated it just done it. Out the blue been running fine and then that. Was weird for it to just happen like that and only the cpu block.

    Hey all,

    I just dismantled my loop.

    1. HK plate is tarnished with black stuff. Got rid of sum via ketchup + scrubbing.
    2. Nickel plated EK 295 block is fine.

    Running distllled + ptnuke.

I went ahead and just bought a ek supreme HF ver 2 to see if that stops the issue. As it seems to be something with the heatkiller cu 3.0. But too busy to do another loop right now though.....

Was a bit sad to see you selling off your loop at OCN though.
