Custom Cooling for the GTX 460?

I am thinking of stepping up to a 460 from 5770. Do we know of any aftermarket coolers that work with these cards? I can't stand the 5770 Reference cooler. At load is way way to loud.

http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1537829 - I'd just get one of these. That's the best deal on a 460 I've seen... and it features an aftermarket heatsink.

A while back, Newegg had the MSI twin frozr II GTX 465 for $260 (after $40 instant discount). That card is a GTX 470 with a 465 bios = just flash. It features a 5-heatpipe copper heatsink and dual fans.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-514-_-Product - here it is. Too bad the price is no longer good.

Edit: While I still think that Asus GTX 460 1GB is a good deal, here is an unfavorable review: http://tbreak.com/tech/2010/08/asus-...-1gb-review/2/ - says the fan is loud, and for some reason it has trouble keeping up with a regular gtx 460 in Farcry 2.

Edit 2: http://www.anandtech.com/show/3810/n...vendor-cards/6 - Anandtech did review the 768mb version of the same card, which I believe features the same cooling. It doesn't seem to be loud, and it does seem to work quite well.

Edit 3: http://www.amazon.com/MSI-N465GTX-Tw...ur=forums&ses= - And the MSI twin frozr II GE GTX 465 is still available for $260 at amazon. You'd have to click through to the other available sellers, but it's there... seems to be out of stock, however.

Some of the stock coolers are actually very good and not worth replacing unless you step up to water, IMO. I used a Gigabyte GTX 460 1GB, and the cooler was barely audible, maxed out at 67 degrees in Furmark. The card died an hour later, must have just been defective, but the cooler was very impressive. It was the 2 fan design.

You an always do better with an aftermarket cooler. Some of the best to date as GPU's get hotter are the ThermalRight GPU solutions. They cn offer some of the best of cooling on air but most can take up more then the common double slot.

I'm looking for input on a nice looking, yet effective copper cooler for the same cards, ASUS ENGTX460 DirectCU/1G. 1 has room for 3 slot but 2nd needs to fit inside a 2 slot space. ThermalRight offered a copper unit back in the 6800 Ultra days and it was awsome for it's small size w/ Sythe 80mm fan. I like the copper look inside to match my TRUE Copper
