its an old coleman like 7 gallons

I used a box knife and cut out the holes for the fittings

then took some scrap copper tubing and cut one end of it in 4 strips so I could 'butterfly' it out and pushed it through, then I hot glued both sides to seal it up

then on the outside I pushed a 1/2" plastic tubing mender into the copper tubes and used pliers to make it fit really tight, then used JB Kwik (5 minute JB weld) and finished it of with hot glue for good measure
