Can you post your bios settings that you used to get 4.7ghz stable. I can get 4.6ghz stable but am having issues with 4.7ghz. Thanks
Another thing I find funny is AMD/Intel would snipe any of our Moms on a grocery run if it meant good quarterly results, and you are forever whining about what feser did?
Kein LLC2? Warum zur Hölle nicht?erm, sorry. click. English...
LLC2 is not a problem at all. LEVEL TWO means voltage dropping OFF.
It has been done for years on previous platforms...and I've been doing it on at least a dozen chips 24/7 up to 1 1/2 years. It is NOT a problem if you don't do hilarious stuff like running >1.4Vcore 24/7. Keep in mind, most boards don't even have an intermediate level 1.
Anything beyond 1.35V is likely to lead to overheating on air anyway.

Yo Amurtigress,
I don´t argue.
But it is a matter of fact that level 1 is safer than level two. Disabling the LLC sets the VDroop following Intel specs. It´s better safe than sorry. I don´t know how much voltageamian: is going to set on his chip.
Are you ready for a quick hint?
How much VCore and Vtt should I use to get a BLCK 167MHz*24 stable?
For 3750 MHz (163*23) my system needs 1.25 V (=real 1.216V)
Mem. should run at 2000 MHz then

There are a lot of templates with bios settings posted if you read back through this thread. All chips require different settings so you will hve to play around with yours and see what works. Noone can give you the exact settings for your chip. You dont have to find a template with an i7 960, you can use 920 930 or other bloomfield, you have a higher multi to work with but the other settings will work the same.

I'll give it a shot with F7u. F7t, just as F7r and Co. didn't get my D0 920 stable-Very contrary to F6.

Yo mate!
You are right- sometimes I do like playing with my system.
But believe it or not I had some issues with my audio since I updated to BIOS F7r. I blamed the creative driver for it at the first time. Now every issue is gone - since I have got the F7u running.![]()

Fritz: What bug exactly?
I am running F7u now, and I got my chip stable at 4 GHz. Yet with more core voltage. 1.3125V as opposed to 1.2875V on F6.
Looks pretty clearly like an effect of the changed LLC in F7...
Overall the F7 BIOSses have a tendency to just hang when the board is supposed to start initializing the extra controllers, and the POST as such is faster in F6.
Not to mention the odd disabling of the USB power for mice and keyboards every two seconds when updating the current settings screen

Does anyone have settings for 5.0ghz with a 980X and do you think this can be achieved on water?
Another thing I find funny is AMD/Intel would snipe any of our Moms on a grocery run if it meant good quarterly results, and you are forever whining about what feser did?
right now I have my 980x on 2 rads (360.2/240.2) plus 2 res. I had to take my gpus off blocks having some issues with my 5970. my idle at 4.4ghz are really good right now. I was thinking of just trying 5.0ghz to see if I could get a boot up and run a few benchmarks. What do you think would be my best option would be to achieve these goals.
