    Is that your wet dream?

I'm pretty stoked with a 5850 bought last week

and how much could you have gotten that for in oct?
only 2 things in the computer industry with pricing that dosnt follow a normal trend, and one of them was from supposed price fixing. the other one makes no sense

That is funny, I mean what other computer hardware would you find anybody really satisfied with paying a notably higher price today than what it cost over half a year ago when it was bleeding edge, it seems totally backwards.

That card is probably Palit/Gainward GTX 460. They used red PCB with GTX 260, GTX 275 with custom cooler sow this is nothing new. They are the only who use red pcb.

Quite good looking. And if the numbers are right we have quite an masive overclocking 763 core/1526 shaders/ 3800 memory...
almost 100 mhz more than stock. This card surely beat the 5830, at 10$ less.
My mistake, some of the 5830 card prices already reduced from 229$ to 199$. So GTX 460 is the first GTX 400 card wich put Ati on move.

So does the 5850. The 5830 isn't a very good performer per watt.

Man if they sell a card clocked at those speeds already from launch it really tells something about the overclockability of GTX 460.
    Intel? Core i5-4670K @ 4.3 GHz | ASRock Extreme6 Z87 | G.Skill Sniper 2x8GB @ DDR4-1866 CL9 | Gigabyte GTX 970 OC Windforce 3x | Super Flower Titanium 1000W | ViewSonic VX2268wm 120Hz LCD | Phanteks PH-TC14PE | Logitech MX-518 | Win 7 x64 Professional | Samsung 850 EVO & 840 Pro SSDs

These cards could really easily hit 900MHz with some more voltage, nice I wonder if 1GHz will be possible.

they seemed to go out of their way to mention that in the specs

    Palit GTX 460 SONIC PLATINUM 1GB 256-bit
    Core Clock 800MHz
    Shader Clock 1600MHz
Memory : 4000, may be the IMC of GF 104 is a little better and can reach 4400-4600 normaly? i mean Palit pushed the memory hard to to the limit of GF100, 4000.
