Thumbs down Dissapointed with LAMPTRON support

    Hey guys

Like a month ago we bought 2 FC5 controllers with a friend, now we both now experimenting like most ppl have, those 8888 nrs and blue and blocked display, in my case i just have to turn off pc and then goes normal, but now it started to do that 4 times a day...so i contacted lamptron both on msn a guy name Li..and mailed them and nothing...

I see they're anouncing the V2 so what they gonna do with us ppl who bouth the faulty model ?

There's a fix im good at electronics but some ppl reported lots of things after the fix...

    So dunno

    Cheers

well mine worked perfect with my 3 san aces connected and 3 other fans---and after a month started with this...

i will try the resistor fix this weekend as i live in South America so no chances of sending back...to bad propaganda for LAMPTRON for me its a joke saying on its page that V2 will be soon out leaving all us with this buggy version and not even replying mails....

have you tried to PM spawn? he's the marketing person for lamptron. hopefully he'll see this thread and take the appropriate actions, otherwise just shoot him a PM. no one can ever run away from a PM unless they intentionally ignore you or just don't log on

Ye, no real problems with the display, it looks decent, but I can't use the first channel of my FC-5. It's either fan off or at 100%. Not a problem since the other channels still handle my fans properly, but a shame I have one less channel to use.

No problems with mine so far.
Only thing I've seen is that the power fluxes quite a bit.
Set to any level and it fluxes -.1 up to +.3 and back and forth.
Doesn't seem to be bothering the fans as they are pretty rock steady on speeds.
Only been about a month though....

    3 GT 1850's on channel 2
    2 Scythe S-Flex F's on channel 3

    No problems here...

I have it powering a SWIFTECH LAING MCP355 12V 18W and 3 fans... one is 140mm and the other two are 120mm.

I can adjust the Pump from 80L/h to 210L/h with good precision... same thing for the fans...

Hope everithing keeps running smoth... like it is now.

From what i know only certain units are affected by this problem, we are trying to figure out what is going wrong, engineering department is all over it. Dont worry about shipping costs, if we replace the unit directly you will not have to return it based on your circumstances with shipping costs.

If your having a problem with the 8888 issue, and you havent already submited for an RMA, you can email me at robert@lamptron.com with your name, address, phone #, pcb#, model and color and we can put you in for a replacement, no return is necessary at this time.
