    LOL. I did
The CPU#0-cooler was blowing downward, and that foam was meant to lead the hot air towards the back.
But I have rotate the cooler now, and both are blowing toward the back, with new peace of paper between them (won't show you the picture, I know you wouldn't approve ) but it is not easy to deal with 2 HUGE CPU-cooler in a LITTLE ATX-case.
I'm still experimenting, and going to change and test more, and maybe get a new case too, when the EVGA or coolerMaster release their cases.

Alol that foam did was absorb heat, not deflect it..

    Sam:
Take that board out of that case, set it on a bench with fans on the memory and mofsets and wait for a proper case.
That is not a request, that is an order!

LMAO, those old schools and books didn't teach anything about double sockt and 2 huge coolers.
I've actually studied physics in university and should know that foam observes heat, but I was tiered and in desperate need for something to use, and that foam was in that box (the pretty one you've used to send the MB), so I grabbed what I had on hand. Next time use something i Can use in the case

Foam is to cushion not deflect and I didn't study Physics or even go to a university..Street sense and common sense my friend and tired isn't an excuse!
Now stick that case ( after emptying it) on a shelf for a project that it's designed for cause " it won't work" for this one!

Yeah, you are right, on both points.

I've my doubt this case will work, but I'm using it as a temporary solution to keep the dust and harm away from the system. I had it on hand and grabbed that one too

Right now I have just one option, the Lian Li P80 from local dealers, waiting to see EVGA and CoollerMaster before I get a new case.

the Lian Li P80is nice and you'd love this Mountain Mods Extended Ascention I have. Room in it to do anything you'd want from water cooling to 30 hard drives. Absolutely top notch quality, paint is perfect.
Wish you were closer to show it to you in person.
Not cheap but worth every penny they charge for it.

Anybody has a DMM-reading (or a link to a table) of VDIMM and VVT on SR-2?

The VDIMM is overshooting a lot, 1.61v BIOS-set ends up as 1.65v. The VVT is really weird, it is in increasing on CPU#0, from 1.325v BIOS-set to 1.33v, and decreasing for CPU#1, from 1.375 BIOS-set to 1.35v. All at idle, according to E-LEET. How accurate are these E-LETT reports?

I'll keep posting while you guys hanging and waiting for full cover block.

I switched CPUs to check if the CPU#0 was a hot chip, but the extra heat was not related to the chip. I got a nasty shattering in audio, and couldn't get CPUs stable with even more vCore and VVT after switching.
SR-2 seams to care a lot about the order of CPUs. Now I switched them back and everything is back to normal. My CPU#0 is a better chip, and was running with less vCore and VVT when i tested them on UD7. SR-2 seams to care a lot about having this chip as the primary CPU.

Now I've rearranged the cooling by using Noctua NH-D14 blowing downward on CPU#0 (which is generally hotter), and Megahalem blowing towards the back on CPU#1. Both push/pull. There is still temp differences, but is better than before.

A little 15 min Prime run, not final, just to get know this baby batter, and check the temp with new cooling arrangement.

A picture of the new cooling arrangement. All fans are intake except the rear exhaust.
So many fans makes a lot of positive pressure in that little SilverStone FT. The air is moving really good and I may keep this arrangement, but still experimenting.
Most fans are going on dynamic speed and it is pretty quiet at idle. A W7 SW for fan control could be a great option, but you get pretty good control in BIOS and it is working good.

Thx Mr, yeah it is getting there

I've been trying to run a PCMark Vantage bench as you requested, but it keeps crashing right after the start. Even on the fresh w7-install. I'm not sure what's wrong, but everything else is running fine.
I'm thinking maybe PCMark Vantage can't run on double-CPU, but I hope some other can try it soon and confirm or dismiss it.

^^ You can try to beat my 22.13 first. LOL.

I tried a X5650 B1 ES as CPU#0 and A0 as CPU#1, but it didn't boot at all. Got a FF error, it couldn't find any CPU at all

Has changed the cooling arrangement a bit and temp is pretty much the same for both CPUs now, at idle , but got to test more for load temp.

Breaking personal record on CB 11.5

Something happens when it breaks the BCLK200, suddenly CB scores much higher than expected for the speed.
I thought it was just luck first time, but I could repeat it several times.
    VVT=1.30v

No, it requires Xeon's with a dual QPI.

How do you monitor the NB-temp on this thingy? There is no NB-temp in E-LEET.

The OC/BCLK seams to be scaling pretty much parallel with IOH voltage, but it can get toasty really fast, without any possibility for monitoring NB-temp.

    EDIT:
Found a Aux-temp in Everest, can it be the NB-temp, or maybe it is system2? Or maybe system2 is NB-temp?
