I have a 750w PC power & cooling too and it's very efficient imo.
    like 82-85% with Euro 230v

EDIT : even better than I thought http://www.anandtech.com/show/2278/11

I buy them because I trust them.
In 4 years and 4 machines on them never had one fail me.
last time i checked was for a ~5 year old 500w pcp&c psu, and it's something like 74 or 76%. might want to look into that...

edit: oh didn't see next page, ok that's great that it's so efficient then!
    Main: i7-930 @ 2.8GHz HT on; 1x GIGABYTE GTX 660 Ti OC 100% GPUGrid
    2nd: i7-920 @ 2.66GHz HT off; 1x EVGA GTX 650 Ti SSC 100% GPUGrid
    3rd: i7-3770k @ 3.6GHz HT on, 3 threads GPUGrid CPU; 2x GIGABYTE GTX 660 Ti OC 100% GPUGrid
    Part-time: FX-4100 @ 3.6GHz, 2 threads GPUGrid CPU; 1x EVGA GTX 650 100% GPUGrid

My most efficient machine is in the same class as Dave's X8DA3... can't beat a (stock) Dual Westmere-EP for efficiency I guess.
Dual X5650 Hexacore, PPD of about 75k/d at exactly 300W from the wall. Tyan S7002, 12GB DDR3, onboard VGA, TT Toughpower 650W (~83% efficieny), one HDD, 5 fans.

Just pulled my 1090T from my main rig where it pulled 320w for 25,000ppd

    Now pulling
    180w at 3.6ghz with 1.34v for ~23,700ppd

Just to show that the power consumption can be lower. This is the rig I posted in the thread I linked to in the 2nd post. It doesn't count for this competition because the rig isn't like that anymore.

    I3 540 @ 3780MHz 1.15v. It used 86 watt running WCG.
And that could be lower without OCing.

But now I have it watercooled and changed the CPU to a i7-860.
    3.3GHz @ 1.16v it uses 166 watt running WCG.

Only changes, still just one rig running.

What about just running it headless?

If you removed some of the RAM sticks you could reduce the power consumption even more.

    Hey all!
Here is what I used to measure wattage....

Current Rigs: (not always running @ the same time)
With that said PPD is as accurate as I could figure....

    Intel E8400 @ 3.0
    GTX 280
    203w
    6620 PPD

    Intel E8400 @ 3.4
    9500 GT
    163w
PPD currently unknown. (haven't ran it steady enough.)

    Intel E7200 @ 2.53
    Onboard Video
    63.6w
    5345 PPD

    Intel Core Duo T2050 (laptop) @ 1.6
    ATI Mobility Radeon™ X1300
    49.3w
    2068 PPD

Laptop exhaust @ 60 deg C, sitting on a cooling pad
