Ever wonder what it's like to know your arms are about to be ripped off by a 400lb silverback? Ask this baby raccoon.

actually as long as the coon didnt bite or scratch the hell out of them they would have taken very good care of it.

chimps are more motherly to other animals but silverback females can be too.
the males get incredibly rough but are only being the father they know how to be.

otherwise, yeah... it probably got yelled at, arms flinging around, stomped at, and in short order, picked up and tossed about 50ft away.

I think that one was made with Flickr's photo editor picnik, as sad as it seems. I sometimes use Lightroom, but I have to say I'm almost always pleased with the retro effect that picnik offers.

You're perhaps thinking of cross process, there's a bit of that in there too. When I do use Lightroom I either use a preset or just work with one of my own custom ones. Some lowering of the contrast, split toning and a a general purple tint gets you close.

if you have that chance again Weevil, try doing a shot in portrait mode, with the dog at the bottom of the frame and the rest of the frame being the beach and the shoreline.
maybe some nice waves coming in to reflect just how small that little guy really is.
or even a shot of him facing the water, same thing, portrait (vertical). little doggy facing the big never ending ocean.

This can be interesting for you Lestat, Novoflex sells them too. Not exactly cheap, but maybe its worth controling aperature on new Nikon lens.

Thx Lestat, those are excellent suggestions. We take him to the beach at least a few times a month, plenty of opportunities for retakes.

Well, shes Brazil, they are hot when they are young.. much less hoter after few years. Lestat is correct in that. Various "races" old different way..

But ofc, shes hot now. Though, I prefer more "balanced" setup.

    Lestat

Yea it is expensive, but from what I saw its not exactly cheap made adapter. Maybe Rayqual makes some too, but they are not cheap too. I think that for ppl who wants to use 24-70 on their Canon, its not expensive.. But for rest of us, yes a bit too much. Maybe there is some cheaper variant.. or at least second-hand adapter. Good luck with that.

You dont see many of these anymore, with urban sprawl and development alot of the old country churches are giving way to new housing subdivisions.

Only problem it can cause is, that it will have wrong distance (focus near infinity, or over infinity). Or that it can get stuck on lens or body.. But usually, those Chinese are pretty much same as all others. Novoflex isnt exactly ethalon of quality anyway (Rayqual is ethalon of quality for example - but not exactly cheap or easy to get ).

Though, I think there is only version made by Novoflex, cause that thing is patented and they kinda try to protect their work.
