dont think so, it was basically a playable benchmark using the latest and greatest features of dx10/11 and didnt have any substance. i saw the initial video and a few updates throughout the year or two since and almost nothing got done.

They started as an indie developer looking for a publisher. They even had a blog where they posted how they were designing the graphics engine and all.
Then out of a sudden the blog posts stopped and Intel bought them.

The result? The game got demoted into a tech demo for the defunct Labarre and then this

They should have stayed independent and waited for a better publishing chance... Or gone the Wolfire route of doing self-publishing and get the development covered with the money from Pre-Orders.

the small team of guys who formed project offset had already shipped successful games. there was never any doubt they could perform. intel wouldn't have bought them otherwise.

they obviously made a ton of money selling out to intel and working for them for years. their dream of making a sweet game got screwed, but they can dry their tears with money and start a new company. big deal.

the only vaporware here is intel larrabee which is a much bigger failure than gf100.

Was looking forward to this. Hopefully something will come of the work they did, a visually stunning fantasy RPG is still something I'd be interested in.

Definitely a shame. The engine/game could have made one hell of a nice hack n' slash RPG.

    I'm surprised...not.

The game started looking pretty much normal few months back anyway. Still a shame though.

though i'm not fond of companies faking software to hype another product.... reeks of greed.
