    Big thanks everyone!

IMO the choice of venue could've been better but it turned out ok. We were aiming for two Swedish teams in the WW final but could never have imagined this outcome Very impressive benching from Jonas and Ann-Sofie, the GTX 480 is a hard GPU to bench on LN2.

The thousand extra points are from higher gpu clocks as well as making sure the PCI-E lanes ran at 16x (would jump down to 8x). Mods are nothing special, just the ones Marcus posted previously combined with bios from MSI that fixes "coldslow".

Those screens made me a bit less uncomfortable with our efficiency.

Yes, 32m round efficiency really sucked We had better runs but none of them would finish.

    Nah; How stupid you mean....
The effeciency in 32M isnt good, and not because of the product (xpower) is crap, but because they provided the overclockers with single sided ram... The average among the contestants would be ~4 sec lower in 32M if it was double sided at same settings... So, there you go; the explaination for the effeciency...

Nah, Jonas' efficiency was just terrible. Also ... we were running Windows 7, not XP.

The competition wasn't about efficiency, it was (as it should be) about clocks and performance.

We were doing 32M at about 5850, so not much worse than elmor's. 05 got worse with 1100/1200 on LN2 compared to 850/1200 on air, but the CPU still saved the day. Not trying to justify my place in the finals or anything, you gotta have some luck.

Besides (and here comes the excuses), even though our CPU was by far the best clockwise, the uncore part wasn't particularly playful. And just to add another excuse; I've never been interested in 32M, so I've never dug into it.

Just to clarify that SuperPI screenshot, I was being overly paranoid, so we downclocked it prior to taking screenshots. All other cores than #3 were not quite so stable at 5.85GHz, so we lowered the BCLK from 176.5, to make sure it stuck.

Also, thanks very much for the screens Giorgioprimo, good to see them all in one place!

You're just pissed since you didn't get to kick Mickey in the nuts yourself and join me as my teammate. No worries though, I still love you too, but I must sadly concede that my current teammate is way better looking than you, which is one of the reasons to why I prefer her. She also kicks ass pouring LN2 and has oddly shown some more interest in a few more technical questions just today, so I'm keeping her!

I actually thought our results sucked big time at first, but now that I actually see them compared to the others, they're not so bad after all.
