    sleeper watercooled gtx480

i had spare parts from a dead 480 and i wanted to try that since i got my first one.

    what i did/used
    Metal plate trimmed
    Plastic cover trimmed
    Metal cover glued
    Koolance GPu-220

    block fitted with plastic cover

i've added an extender on the left fitting, not enought clearance for the tubing

noob mistake, super glue leaked a bit and turn some of the plastic near the metal cover white-ish

    doesn't look that bad
kept the fan to cool the metal plate a bit, mofsets needs active cooling when overclocked.

First mount was leaking on the metal plate inside the cover, got to be VERY careful, second mount did the trick. (mounting out of PC first is for pussies)

The plastic cover is now really fragile after cutting it and installing/removing it many times, the plastic tab looks a bit tired. I'm in no way implying that this is better or looks better than a full block but I didn't had a full block yet and i like to do work on things like that so why not.

    weird but cool

Another thing I find funny is AMD/Intel would snipe any of our Moms on a grocery run if it meant good quarterly results, and you are forever whining about what feser did?

    johnny;
I've used this block before and it's does a pretty good job IMO

40idle to 47-48 when running vantage, i don't use furmark or other stuff like that...unneeded stress
this is my bench setup tho prepping to OC, i got one 120mm blowing on the back of the PCB, MCR320(stacked)+1xMCR220) all fan at 12v, i usually run @ 5v for 24//7

now let's see how far it will go
