These infrared thermography images was taken in a room where the ambient temp was 26C° or so.. even though 120 - 130 would be a nominally safe temperature for a motherboard, I dont know how much more heat can take the "weak chain" on the x58 architeture ( namely all board could be potentially affected ). If u are under air check uor temp asap. It's almost summer. We have already 30C° here.

If that happend while bench under LN2, well that another issue.

A lot.. its able to run 48 hours non-stop in 40°C (40°C in case!). It very durable mobo.. I think that his Fermi is failing, not mobo.. btw. at 97°C you have like 8°C until it starts failing badly.

    I agree
    Perhaps, the most!

Anyhow, as "weak chain" in reference the thermal and design for the ICH and smil-package which is positioned just over the fermi VRM and it's rated for alike 105°T/case.

I think that Fermi should be watecooling only graphic card. I wouldnt risk damaging my PC due overheating. Especially not if its that expensive..

Perhaps, by doesn't knowing anything about your setup - it might be a memory issue and if someone is able to replicate it, I'm sure a fix would eventually arrive :P

got another 480 just to test with and it was my card causing the lock ups. The new bios has definitely improved stability at 200+ bclck using a 480. The other thing that i found helped was making sure that the heat coming off the back of the card isn't baking the nb.

Do you have Realtek Network drivers installed ? If so roll them back or completely uninstall them. That was giving me hardlock issues on my single 470. When I received my second 470 to run in SLI I started having lockup issues again and it turned out to be a bios settings where it was on PCI Slot instead of PCIEx for boot up display. I apologize I forget the exact name. I have no idea why it helped but I have been rock stable since then. Both cards are overclocked to stock 480 speeds and on air. I have run kombuster for literally an hour looking for flaws and none. Temps got up and held at 92c and 94c.. that worried me but for an hour Kombuster run, those temps are pretty good.

That would be more issue of Realtek than this mobo, probably can happen on other mobos with same chip aswell.

What about odd(uneven) UnCore dividers - x17, x19? Can we have them too?

    Hello guys,

Does anyone know tell me if you already have some date for the release of the P10 BIOS?

Why I updated here for the G40 version and only had problems with it. Computer does not recognize any of my two hard drives. The problem is that my video card GTX 470 is coming, and I do not know what to do now.

I tried raising the Ram voltage to 1.65 from default of 1.60, raised the CPU Voltage from default to +0.30 and disabled CxE.
So fat it looks O.K, we wil lsee how it goes through the night.
I am suspecting the Ram voltage or the CPU voltage were too low for some reason.
