Question OCZ EB owners on nF2, can you post your highest stable speeds for me?

Stable, like 8 hours of Prime blend or Memtest. The only results I've seen are benches and whatnot.

I got my 3500EB and have my first Prime run on an NFII 1/21:
2.5-2-2-11 DC CPC 3.3v, and 1.7v to chipset. 220MHz 15 hours. At 225 Prime goes about an hour. That's a little dissappointing since I can bench Sandra up to 257. I like the 97% efficiency though, cause I've never seen over 95 on this board.

I've never had to burn-in any BH-5, BH-6 or CH-5, so I'm not expecting to have to with this. But do I? I'll be doin more tests tonight.

BTW, I've got good cooling over my board. A 172mm Papst moving about 75CFM over my HSF, NB, RAM, and AGP. NB temp shows 35 (bout 3 degrees above case temp.)

Yeah, same. I'm not interested in tight timings or high benches necessarily. I just want to see people's all-around best results.

Yeah i would also like to see some results from this stuff. Most of the reviews have gotten it to some pretty high speeds, and the benchmarks outperform my mushkin lvl II PC3500 (which i sold on ebay for quite a price tag and need some good replacement ram)

230 2.5-3-2-11 CPC DC 3.3v won't Prime even one minute. I can't get a 13MHz OC with even 0.7v added? Someone please tell me these need to burn-in..

Fixed a typo in my first post. I meant 220 is 15 hours stable and 225 is not. So basically, these aren't overclocking. Tried all voltages and CPC disabled. Please just tell me to burn these things in. What am doing wrong?

Assuming you've tried lower? They might not like it or at least not right iff the bat. All my ram has always needed a day or two to settle in.

Try 3-2-2 and 3-3-2, though some people have gotten CL 2.5 above 230 , I have not been able to.

I would say to try 3-2-2 and bump up from there.

The benches at 3-2-2 are far better than 2.5-3-2.

And I can just about guarantee a huge oc improvement .

also , lower the voltage a bit 3.1 seems to be the sweet spot

2x512 3500EB, Dual Channel CPC APIC. Day three of burn-in:

EDIT: image hosting may be up or down. Screens are of 230 3-3-3-11 3.14v, 1 minute in Prime.

I can't get 3.10 without my Vmod back in, just 3.06 or 3.14. Anyway, I get nothing at 230 no matter what timings or voltage, and like I said before even 220 is barely halfway stable (+3MHz ... ?)

Mann that is bad, sorry to hear you aint getting decent results from these sticks of ram. I was thinking of picking some up, im definately going to wait this out a bit longer.

Hopefully Cactus can show some better results. It is a shame, seems like the OCZ guys seem to have 'good' sticks whilst the other NF2 users are not having much luck

I should mention that they run fine in dual channel with CPC and APIC enabled at default speeds and voltage without any wire or volt mod. Memtest #5 went over 200 passes with no errors. I'd say there's nothing wrong with these sticks cept that they won't OC at all so far.

Sorry, I'll try and keep any other updates complete and not so disorganized.

dobbz - sory to hear about your luck. I have the exact same sticks and I can run well above 220 2.5 2-2-2-11 on my LP-B. That is with CPC and APIC enabled at 3.0v I'm just working on getting you some screens. Gotta wait for prime to run for a while just to show that it is working and all

Ahh... Bummer, this doesn't look too promising. Was hoping for a nice replacement for my ol' 2x256MB CH5, which is doing fairly well (225FSB, 2-2-3-11).
I was thinking about the 2x512MB PC3500 EB kit, but I've seen so many people getting pretty bad results on NF2's, that I think I'll hold on for a bit, and see how it goes.
    Abit NF7-S 2.0 btw.

Ye, and that's a shame because 1gig is kinda the minimum for a modern gaming pc nowadays.
Still wanna see some more results before I go ahead and get something new. Don't wanna get something that won't do very good, especially with the EB's prices!

right I am basically saying with any 512x2 you can basicaly bet on less of an oc than your getting with 2x256

Yeah, I gotcha. Still 225FSB, as I'm running now should be achievable with the pc3500 EB. Especially since my board overvolts the vdimm a slight bit, it's close to 3.1v actually.
If that's not enough there's always vmods

BigToe has sorted me out with a replacement set of EB. From what he told me it seems one of the sticks was mis-behaving which is just one of those things I guess. Hopefully I'll have more luck with the new set I recieve. Tony is da man!

I'm in the same situation as Cactus, one the the sticks does 2.5-2-2 fine @ 220 2.8v
but the other stick could only do 209 3-2-2 w/ 3v
Ryan's taking care of a replacement for me... fingers crossed

Unfortunately these guys can't test on every possible motherboard. Some sticks may not work as well with some chipsets. I've not had any issues yet with any boards, but thats just me. Glad to see you are keeping a positive outlook. Ryan is a good guy and I'm sure he'll look after you.
