    ASUS Crosshair IV Formula And 1035T - 24/7 Stable Testing

    X6 1035T @ 300x13.5, 4GB Memory @ 1600MHz, Post 1 Of 2


    Initial setup. Just like the 4A89TD Pro this board allows locking in the Turbo multipliers in the BIOS. Because of this good CPU overclocks can be obtained without the need for extremely high bus frequency. The downside is the CPU being a non-BE it has a max NB multiplier of 10x so the higher the bus frequency the better the memory performance.

    you can play with TBT multi? but the stock of 1035T is 13 or i wrong?

    I do the BIOS screenshots with an external frame grabber. Really the only way to get quality captures without spending a bunch of time on it. The 1035T was sent to me.

    Stock is 13x. On both this board and the 4A89TD Pro I have been able to choose and lock in the Turbo multipliers in the BIOS.

    The 1035T is missing one important item though. An unlocked NB multiplier.

    Loaded the board up with some of my X58 triple channel sticks for 8GB. Also updated 3ds Max to the 2011 version. Going forward I'm rendering a different scene. I had been using the same one for the last couple of years and it really doesn't amount to much with today's processors. I'll try to get some different rendering times posted up in the next few days for comparison.

    May not get much out of this CPU. The 1035T seems to be better. No 2000 yet. I'm more of a 24/7 overclocking type person so haven't even tried. I will probably give it a shot when I move to sub-zero cooling.
