In Low Rpm i listen the Coil of fans - Why?

In Low Rpm i listen the Coil of fans - Why?

    Hello to all!
    I have 5 Scythe SF21 G. They are 12V x 0.24A = 2.88W each.
    I use AEROCOOL F6XT.
I have connect one fan per channel.

When i set the speed at Low Or Medium i can hear the Coil of the fans.
Without AEROCOOL F6XT, or with the fans at max rpm the coils stop the noise.

Do you know something about that?

    Thanks.

By coil, do you mean an electric whine or some sort of vibration?
It seems you have isolated the noise to the fan controller, you might apply nail polish to some of the electrical components on the fan controller pcb if it is an electrical whine. If it is a vibration, try adding something soft (like rubber or gel) on the fittings to the controller. The controller is probably passive, so it's likely that vibration isn't your problem. Also, try connecting one fan to the controller and see if the noise persists. This could indicate it is a load problem on the controller (which may also be solved by the sealant/nail polish).

S-Flexes sometimes have issues with fan controllers. Try powering one of them directly from a 5v line from your psu to see if it makes noise on low rpm without the controller.

Is this issue serious or only the little noise is the issue?

Noise only, I think. But I haven't used them long enough to know if there are other issues.

So, this isn't a problem right?
I think btw that this little issue has place only at high/strong Wattage Fans.
For example the 2 Silverstone's TJ 07 back fans has not this issue.
(All the other fans are replaced by Scythe SF21 G)

yes sorry you will hear that in 38mm fans that have a big coil barely on normal fans, thats from my experience

Similar issue with my Cooler Master R4 fans on a Lamptron FC2. I just dial them in to a frequency that the whine goes away. It isn't a problem as far as your hardware is concerned, just annoying little sound.

    Finally i solved the problem.
I removed Scythe SF21 G and replaced them with Nexus 1000. The sound decreased dramatically!
As andressergio says the problem is the big coils!
