I'm wondering if I can plug in the dead card I have and control it through the program I have on another machine, only problem is that I didn't set it up to automatically connect to our wifi...

Those old pci cards can be worth their weight in gold when needed.Yeah we used to have a pci card but I haven't seen it in a long time.
