I just managed to run 8Gb Corsair Dominator GT 2000Mhz @ 2000Mhz with timings 8.8.8.24.2T on ASUS Crosshair IV Formula + Phenom II 1090T. Image is below.

    Uploaded with ImageShack.us

But did 8Gb 2000Mhz give any performance boost on Phenom II 1090T @ 4Ghz? It was stable but no performance boost at all. As I mentioned a couple of posts back on this thread, I think the CPU needs to be in the 4.2Ghz+ region to even benefit from such high memory frequency. I will provide images of benchmarks and stats below of my current 24/7 OC. Same as in my sig.

And some more below. Notice CINEBENCH. See how I placed myself at top. I think this is because the new 6 core 1090T fully uses my 2x 4870x2 in CrossfireX without any bottleneck.

By the way...I will tell you all a little story while I was overclocking Phenom II 1090T. At first I tried it out with my old MSI 790FX-GD70 mobo and everything was going fine until it just shut down. I could no longer start computer at all. Something shorted out. Luckily I did have one spare 790FX-GD70 mobo as a reserve but even that one broke down on me @ 4.1Ghz with 1.48v. My reserve was a completely new one and never used. So I pulled out my mobo and started examine it more closely. I unscrewed the heatsinks on both of the mobo's and saw that on both boards the NB had been burnt. I came to the conclusion that the 790FX-GD70 did not have enough "Phase Power" to handle the CPU at 4.1Ghz with a HexaCore. With regular Phenom II 965 C3 there used be no problem with like 1.55v at 4-4.2Ghz. It simply overloaded and became too much. The new 1090T is rated 125w TDP but I think it is only max temperature that is still same @ 62C and not the voltage. Otherwise I can't explain my 1090T OC @ 4Ghz with 1.36v on Crosshair IV Formula. 4Ghz with 965 C3 used to be for me at 1.45v. It would seem like max volt with Thuban is only 1.4v as to Denebs 1.5v. Just telling everyone this so you'll be careful if you are running 790FX-GD70 with updated bios and using Phenom II 1090T that "if" you go over 4Ghz+ and 1.4v+ it might break the board. Depends on what type of cooling you have also ofcourse but on AIR or like H50 only and not custom loop, then it is not enough. Atleast not on GD70.

The problem with these frequencies are that you need your NB twice as high as the RAM-clock to take full advantage of it, so for people who uses 3000MHz NB 1500-1600MHz is a better choice... I can sure see the benefit of 2000Mhz RAM when running DICE/LN2 where you can OC the NB higher.

Hi !!! anybody used http://oc.adata.com.tw/1_product_det...id=AD32000XU2K I keep trying to hit 2000mhz or is it the CPU? so far...http://hwbot.org/community/submissio...r3_623.4_marks , I can't push the CPU until I'll finish the water cooling+TEC ; I've used different voltages NB, HT ,SB ,RAM ,not the CPU because of the temp ,weather in romania is kinda funny ,in the winter its -15 and in the summer is 43+ and rising

Just started working on timings for a new kit, and probably something that has not been discussed here till date. Am down to 1600 7-7-6-15-16 1T on a CPU NB of 2600. So thats not bad at all for a set that costs this low. Am going to keep working on the timings for now and then work my way up for speed. But at these settings they are running quite well. Memtest passed as well.

    http://www.teamgroup.com.tw/teamgrou...id=1&pl2_id=59

Have heard they are samsung chips. Any ideas on how to take this forward will be great.

6.7.6 @ 1600 possible w/ more vdimm?? or start upping htt & see how high you can get them stable w/ those timings. looking good so far if they passed memtest at those timings.

    1.67 to 1.70v is moderately safe...1.68v max for 24/7?
    1.73-ish for benching

And here are some links to kits for those in the US who can not afford Corsairs $250+ prices:

1.75v for that screen, although the benefit of going above 1.66-1.7v is questionable atm, other than for tightening up sub timings.
