    wha . . .

    what is the proper name for them thar cables you connect to your mobo for power switch and reset . . .I know they are two pin but I am trying to figure out where to get stuff to roll my own . . .

    PPC's carries the two pin connectors you can use to make your own.

    Wire is typically 7 strand 22-26 ga. wire. Nothing special.

    They're KK Molex pins/headers

    it is a universal molex size that is not PC-specific
