Edit: Because I see that a lot of people were unable to come due to my bad planning (scheduling issues T_T), I DO plan on planning another tourney. I hope that next time will have a bigger turn up, I had a lot of fun this afternoon.

If there's any interest, I would also like to set up tourneys for other games like DotA and SC2. When I have time I'll announce. Thanks to everyone who came!

I would be interested in participating. Haven't played the game in a while, should be fun to fool around with it a bit again.

Got my key on Monday and installed the beta yesterday... haven't had time to play yet, though (sick wife to take care of...also putting a hold on my waterblock testing).

An original SC (or BW) tournament sounds interesting... I'd so get my ass kicked.

It will be BW, v1.16.1. The tourney will take place over Hamachi as it is simple to set up and not restricting. All the games will be obs-able and will be randomly taken from the iCCup map pool.

Good to see interest. I'll add some information in the first post. If there are ten people who would like to play, that is more than enough. I'll put up a poll in a bit to determine when it'll be.. most likely noon-afternoon in the US over a weekend?

I would prefer if we played on battle.net. The chat room would be nice and I've had some serious problems with getting Starcraft to work with Hamachi. If things go as they have in the past with me and Hamachi, I probably won't be able to host or join any games.

I don't really like Battle.net for SC. Give Garena a try. The chatroom is nice and it has a nice simple interface. I tried using Hamachi before but no luck, so I use Garena for SC and DotA whenever I play.

Pew pew, this is what I was afraid of! D:

Garena is really no different than Hamachi; it's still VPN. In terms of battle.net, on top of lag I'm afraid that not everyone will be able to get onto it, but I guess that won't be that big of an issue. The chatroom would be nice but I would guess that most people have a mic/vent so we could use my vent server/squat on someone's vent server.

I guess since everyone hates Hamachi () it's out of the question. I guess we'll just go with the what most people want (I'm hoping for a solid 10 people for an afternoon of fun and beer).

Same here actually, but who cares about winning anyways, right? It'll be fun.

Edit: Heh, I was gonna go and advertise this in your thread in the WCG section but you beat me to it. I'm guessing we might be getting more than ten people once they read it.

...yeaah, no. :P And play of any level is welcome. Maybe we can throw in some 2v2's as well, or something.

Hamachi and Garena are simply VPN clients (Garena is focused at gaming, however). They will allow you to simulate a LAN connection over a distance.

The more the merrier, I suppose.

HoN? WEAK! DotA > HoN! Though I'll leave that discussion for a later time, I guess.

Can you use b.net? A lot of people seem to want to use it... D: I guess I could set up a custom b.net gateway and just host it on my comp for a day if people are unable to get on the official servers, but I don't really wanna do that.
