    Hello there
just bought 1090T tonight at Golden Shopping Center
    Phenom II x6 1090T HKD $ 2,599 (~$335USD)
However as I don't have a spare board (waiting for ASUS Crosshair IV Formula, which will be available within the week)

Default VCore bootable 4.2GHz with Biostar 880G

    There are few interesting point
    - Phenom II x6 got HT default as 2.2GHz , not 2GHz
    - NB still stay as 2GHz
    - Same Stock Cooler as Phenom II x4 955/965BE/1055T
    - Unlocked Multipler (YES , you hear that right , what the hell AMD got "Black Edition" to have locked multipler !!!)

I will get more testing when I get my hands on Crosshair IV

I had put a support ticket into MSI for the bios we should use and this is the response I got back.

Thank you for contacting MSI Technical Support. Regarding your concern, if your bios version is 1.xx, then you should update latest 1.a for 1055T from this link: bios http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=do...1754&type=bios

I'm guessing there's some kind of language barrier here?

Are you saying that the BE actually has a locked multiplier? That it's 16x and cannot be changed? That doesn't jive with the 1090T shown here doing 200x20.

    Hmmm.

@Richierich - Is that overclock stable with Prime 95 and is that Vcore safe to run at 24/7?

Nope haven't really tried yet. And I wouldn't want to run it this high 24/7, but it has Cool 'N Quiet on by default (can't disable it).

I've ordered a 1055T that should be here Tuesday. I will see how high I can get on dry ice. May be interesting without an unlocked multiplier.
Particle's First Rule of Online Technical Discussion:
As a thread about any computer related subject has its length approach infinity, the likelihood and inevitability of a poorly constructed AMD vs. Intel fight also exponentially increases.

    Rule 1A:
Likewise, the frequency of a car pseudoanalogy to explain a technical concept increases with thread length. This will make many people chuckle, as computer people are rarely knowledgeable about vehicular mechanics.

    Rule 2:
When confronted with a post that is contrary to what a poster likes, believes, or most often wants to be correct, the poster will pick out only minor details that are largely irrelevant in an attempt to shut out the conflicting idea. The core of the post will be left alone since it isn't easy to contradict what the person is actually saying.

    Rule 2A:
When a poster cannot properly refute a post they do not like (as described above), the poster will most likely invent fictitious counter-points and/or begin to attack the other's credibility in feeble ways that are dramatic but irrelevant. Do not underestimate this tactic, as in the online world this will sway many observers. Do not forget: Correctness is decided only by what is said last, the most loudly, or with greatest repetition.

    Rule 3:
When it comes to computer news, 70% of Internet rumors are outright fabricated, 20% are inaccurate enough to simply be discarded, and about 10% are based in reality. Grains of salt--become familiar with them.

Remember: When debating online, everyone else is ALWAYS wrong if they do not agree with you!

    Random Tip o' the Whatever
You just can't win. If your product offers feature A instead of B, people will moan how A is stupid and it didn't offer B. If your product offers B instead of A, they'll likewise complain and rant about how anyone's retarded cousin could figure out A is what the market wants.

Besides amazon, where are you guys buying the 1055T?

I don't want to say it's a paper launch, since you can get them, but I don't see them on newegg, zipzoomfly, frys or microcenter or buy.com. We're just lucky Amazon apparently has a ton of these in stock.

I kept thinking x6 comes out today (Monday).

The chip comes out to tomorrow, lol.

    Sorry for an confusion.

I will be curious to see how stores will price it as well as if Amazon will drop to $199 an $299 for 1055t and 1090t respectively.
