Major: Hey It's been a long time back.

It's 45nm I think there is many out there that will say 1.45 is there cut off limit for daily use. Look none of use are going to keep this stuff fo more than a year or 2 so go ahead sock it to it 1.45 daily. Me all ran our E8400's at 1.45v

My self I have it set at 1.4 and then load line cal set at 2 and then it over volts to 1.425 during stressing

    Thanks for the welcome back!

I've got it LinX stable at 4.41Ghz 21x210 @ around 1.4125v with load line cal set to 1. But I didn't know just how high to take things. It doesn't look like 4.5Ghz is going to happen without some real juice. It took .1vcore increase to go from 4.2 to 4.4 so probably about the same to 4.5ghz if it works all.

I also had to drop (for now) my uncore multi and memory speed to get 4.4ghz stable so performace wise the 4.2ghz is probably faster.

I'm OC OCD so I won't quit until something else does first! lol

Hey Major have you read this over at Overclockers http://www.overclockers.com/3-step-g...core-i3-i5-i7/
    Very nice guide.

I see you had uncore up around 3700 this is how it goes: you want the uncore running double your mem speed so if your running DDR1600 you want uncore 3200 also you need QPP/VTT voltage around 1.35v and that will give leeway to 1.85 volts for the Memory and be safe. you can safley run .5 over the QPP/VTt voltage.

Thanks for the link. I'll print it out tomorrow at the office and read it.

My G.Skill are low voltage, low latency memory. They are rated at 1.5v so I've not really tried to pump a lot into them and have basicly settled for small memory OC and kept my memory multi at 8x I have to drop it to 6x to get 4.41Ghz stable that goes for my uncore multi too at 12x so performace takes a big step backward to acheive higher cpu clock.

I'm at 3.36 right now 21x208 @ 1.35v (see sig) and that seems to be the sweet spot for 24/7. I'm running the 18x uncore and 8x memory right now. That is with all of the voltages including my memory at default values with the exception of Vtt and Vcore

I printed out the guide you posted. I had printed out and used a simular guide when I first put the system together from Gigabyte. I'm sorta starting over from scratch following the guide and see where it takes me.

    Thanks again for the advice!
