... but when I Falsh new bios (2505) for Asus M4A78-E, I can't manage cores anymore.
Is there anyway to downgrade bios back to previous version (1803)?
Image is nothing - thirst is everything.
yes,
on my m3a78-t you can if you use afudos(229es)

hi guys, I need some help with unlocking pls, I managed to unlock 550 BE (0922 CPMW) into X4 B50 with Asus M4N78 PRO, but I'm not sure if it's stable or not, or it may have bug/crashed somewhere on M4N78 PRO. I've tested it also on different mobo (Biostar mobo) and it's fully unlocked and successfully stable on Prime95, but when I put it back on M4N78 PRO; all 4 of its cores were unlocked and stable in Everest stability test, but it went freeze immediately during Prime95 test, my OS is windows 7 32 bit, I've tried some differrent bios setup including raising its voltage, tried different bios versions but nothing changes, its also freezed when windows 7 aero being assessed, its always freeze at "assessing windows media encoding performance" and on prime95 only..
Does anyone using M4N78 PRO have the same problem with me?My current bios version is 1108, please anyone.. can you help me with this please? thanks in advance for your help

I updated the BIOS on my son's computer here the other day with the same result. I had 1803 running on it and was able to successfully unlock one of the cores. Then I updated it to 2507 and then 2511 with the same result, no more unlocking. In fact when I try to manually activate the cores, and I only activate one core (core 0) it won't boot. This should work, as it's the only core which must be activated.
I have as sneaking suspicion that for some reason ASUS has intentionally sabotaged the core unlocking. Around six months ago, there was a rumor going around that AMD was pressuring motherboard makers to stop implementing ACC unlocking. Whether it's because they would rather you purchase the higher priced quads, or whether they think it hurts their reputation for reliability, I don't know.
Conspiracy theories aside, I am also going to have to downgrade the BIOS. Of course that's something else that ASUS doesn't make easy. EZFlash detects that it's an old BIOS rev and stops it. You would think to be user friendly, they would flash a warning asking whether you were sure you wanted to proceed. So it's off to download the engineering version of afudos for me. That is one thing in GigaByte's favor, at least with their Dual BIOS, you can have two separate revisions of BIOS. You don't like the new one, boot from the old, done.
If anyone has upgraded their BIOS on their M4A78-E beyond 1803 (preferably to the versions I mentioned above) and had success or continued success, I would sure like to hear it. I would also be interested to see if others have experienced the same as Tenkura and I.
