FYI I have...

CPU: i7 @ 4.5Ghz
GPU: Dual 295's (Currently will be receiving 3 EVGA GTX 480 Superclockers in 2 days)
Harddrives: Dual X25-E EXtreme 64GB Solid Slate Drives in RAID0 and 2TB Seagate storage.
Memory: 2203Mhz 8GB 7-8-7-20 Corsair Dominator GT
MOBO: EVGA Classified 762 4-way SLI full 7 16x express speed lanes.
Case: A full sized closet! ROFL. lol the 4-way sli mobo requires more slots so I need to find a case.
Cooling: Air! yah extreme air! using a modified and hacked V8 cooler. see pic



On to the news. I have an open-air rig and use a giant utlra high velocity fan and an air conditioner lol. It's not all connected because I'm rewiring everything and waiting for my Tri 480SC's from newegg. I do plan on going with 4 if they serve me right.

Exactly what I was thinking. One bump and you'll have yourself a real system crash! At least get the motherboard on a flat surface.

Sorry for the picture size. This is not how the board will be finally layed out. It will be stable and it's in mid air so it can be cooled underneith the hottest part of the mobo. The temps change dramatically when cooled under. If it was flat then the temps climb even higher. I wish I would of done this a long time ago so thanks to it being in mid air cooled from both sides I can get much better clocks.

i actually prefer red (avatar = old setup)... but blue is all i could manage to find. theyre just coolermaster fans... nothing special. double blow hole? are you talking about the 2 top fans?

Yes. red is not my thing and blue is what I started with when I first began modding in '01. However recently have migrated over to green.......

Don't know if this qualifies, but this mATX build has 2 x 80mm, 1 x 60mm, 3 x 40mm (5.25 bay), 1 x 80mm GPU, and lastly 2 x 40mm HDD cooler.



And yes TSXmike all blue!

nice builds! ive always wanted to build a mATX setup.

btw... i did find some 120s in red... so a color change might be in my future... just need to figure out how to change the LEDs in my sunbeam rheobus.
