    PCMark Vantage World Records

Much thanks to all of you for all the help.
You all are the source of all ideas
I reduced the array stripe size from 64K down to 4K - apparently the Acards like small stripes - -
    Suite score - http://service.futuremark.com/compare?pcmv=308078
    HDD score - http://service.futuremark.com/compare?pcmv=307862

    Sweet. Congratz. Keep it up
What was your previous stripe size, and the HDD score with that?

Just wondering, have you tried running your acards on 1 port each from ICH10R with small stripe? (4-16KB)
Or LSI 9211/9260 with small stripe and newest firmware/drivers?

BTW, have you noticed any difference in real world usage with the smaller stripe?

Previous stripe size was default 64k and pulling out all the stops my best pcmv HDD score was ~74K.
Also - all the HDD tests were run with the array not as boot and with cpu at 4.5ghz (not 4.8 as was the suite test).

"Just wondering, have you tried running your acards on 1 port each from ICH10R with small stripe? (4-16KB)"
Not yet but its on my short list, both ich10 and 9211.
I just discovered the smaller stripe thing in the last 48 hours.
Paul's 9211 should be at my front door soon

    Thanks!
I keep expecting someone with LN2 or Phase to post a new (huge) score - but not yet.

    Sweet Scores Steve! WTG!

LN2 guys like me are not interested in PCMV because there are no points for us so rest assure that it will take a while to someone pull a Ln2 980x + a Ln2 5870 to take you from the top.

Thanks guys, yes if there was points for pcmv it might be a whole new level of competition. Also - Expat - I don't have my SS yet, it should ship to me this next week -

Holy . Your builder moves fast. It has taken nearly 4 months for my cascade and he says it will be another month or two yet.

I am a total newb on phase but I thought a cascade was a much more complex piece of equipment than the SS.

Go on and humiliate a manufacturers storage-lab
You have already beaten them, but if you can bump up to closer to 36-37K that would be awesome (not that your result isn't awesome now d^_^b ).

    Thanks GullLars.
Planet and Mike will work to come up with something better I am sure.
It's nice to be on top but as I have been on top now for the third time - I know it will probably be short lived.
    Nice all the same.

Oh by the way, I am working on the iometer runs you were looking for, I should have them posted sometime tomorrow - should I start a new thread?

Sure, start a new thread if you want. I've been thinking of making a dedicated thread for expanding my IOmeter project mainly focusing on SSDs, i have like 20 setups already, but would love to add more extreme ones.

But now i've been awake for a bit over 40 hours, boosted by serious amounts of caffeen (about 10 redbulls in total) now wearing off after gaming the entire friday night and saturday, so i'll just eat something and crash for 16-18 hours :P

i think actually, these guys over there has already gave they're best effort with they're setups, now what they'll need to do, is probably arrange another devices, RC and/or disks..
you seem to be a bit skeptical of what u have in your hands, yet, don't forget these results are even before running it on an SS unit .

True the SS will add some points, I should be able to get 5ghz maybe more.
