That's the spirit we need! Everything and the kitchen sink for one week.
My goal is to show 100 million points a day..
That would take app 37,500 P4-3000's to do.
If all of XS jumped in we could do that easily!

    IMPORTANT :
don't create a new WCG account if you haven't got one , just use mine instead.
You will only mess up the XS team stats

    pm me for details.

    You're sly

I've already spoken with them to ensure their servers can handle what we can bring, so there's no worries there either. I did ask them twice as it's IBM that provides the servers and well, ahh, they run stock but they assure me they can handle the load of whatever we can bring.
I say we call their bluff

    YEAH, RIGHT ON!
I think it would be better to put up the "Joining World Community Grid the easy way" link up there, it is more direct and makes sure that they did the things right.

linpack is basically the pissing contest of the supercomputing world. its just a benchmark. if we all run LinX and add up the results we would get an idea of how we stack up against a real supercomputer.

    Neat idea Dave.
I am pretty maxxed out as it stands, though I suppose I could fire up my hardmodded E760 with X5680 #2... would need to set up an extra loop for it tho, it'll take a while.

Oh yeah, what info are we going to get back from IBM? # of machines, Tflops total, average Gflops per machine, etc - something like that? Would be interesting

I'll get the server running again. And put a non-expired OS on the dual core.
Can I get some chips with it if I fire up an old Athlon duallie?

Yes, of course, Bex is going to work in the kitchen the whole week.

If you get your Athlon duallie up and ruing, you'll get chips. But if you get a Athlon quad up and running then you'll get the Bex-special sammich.
