List of Parts needed for a Chilled Water Loop

Hi guys- I'm gonna be getting one of Gary's chillers soon and I am trying to put together a shopping list of stuff I will need to get it hooked up safely and correctly, and of course chilling like a mo-fo.

here's what I've got so far, there are "???"s in a lot of places, hopefully some of the experts here can fill in some blanks for me. I have provided links to pages where this stuff can be purchased, hope it helps. any problems with any of this stuff please post... much appreciated.

i would be interested to kno how much the water cooling supplies would cost some1 if they are planing to chill it.

for the pump a Mag5 would be good

but 40' of tubing, ur gonna need something industrial strength

chilly1's thread has mention of a Taco cartridge pump, but not sure how he's adapting the 1" openings to work with 1/2" tubing I guess maybe there are reducers but how does that affect pressure/flow rate.....?

only reason for the 40' of tubing is I want to chill 2 boxes and my window is about 12' away from the computer.

Judging by the temps Gary's other chiller's have been running at would recommend one of these pumps.

i will help you LuckMan212... if you fly me over to new york.... but seriously, rearangeing stuff seems the easiest and cheapest option to me, if that isnt possible then we have to think of soething else, i would however recomend useing two pumps to help keep flow rate up if you are useing that much tubeing, or perhaps some larger bore tube. one pump could be near the pc's and one in the chiller, or you could always not bother window mounting it and sit it on the floor next to the pc's?

I'm thinking that Taco cartridge pump will be more than enough, even with reducer fittings, but waiting to see how well it works out for Chilly1.

Yes, the Taco is a BEAST! upgrade the elastomer to a silicone o-ring if you are going to chill past -40C.

If you do use two pumps run them in tandem.
