Thanks, masska!
I was kidding, Wezly. I'm flattered that you or others may want to use me as a foundation for some of your ideas.
Tell me about it.
I'm not decided on how to blacken them whether it be paint or black rubber/vinyl coverings. I'll experiment with a few different options.
Thanks, marxviper.
The Classified had too much red and would've clashed with my color scheme. I wanted a board with mostly black connectors.

I thought you were switching out the swiftech rads in favor of EK sponsorship?
Oh right, the DD...
Loving those fans.
Aww, two 120.1 rads look insufficient. Where's the big one?
Sleeving is going to be nice.![]()

Awesome work Xion! I've been lurking in your build log for quite some time and I am in awe of what you have accomplished so far.
Maybe Nils can hook you up with some black fan connectors; those white ones look out of place.![]()
You going to be removing the fan stickers? I realized recently I could take them off my S-flex's and I love them 10x more now.
Yum like candy.
The fans are really nice. They certainly weren't cheap, but they're of very high quality, and the rubber casing should really help dampen vibration.
I'm of the mindset that it doesn't take 2 or 3 480s to cool a loop (or two.)
Besides that, there's just no room in the Cosmos for a 480.. especially since I've fabricated the Zero-G Chamber which takes up around 1/3 of the horizontal space. The Noiseblockers are 74cfm apiece, and the MCR220s are very solid performers. So I think I'll be just fine.
Greetings, H20.. thanks for stepping out of the shadows.
It's always a pleasantry to see new faces and discover those who have been following the build for a while but haven't posted. I wish more of you would do it. Sometimes this thread seems to ring like a bunch of crickets in my ear, and I wonder if there's anyone left out there.
Thank you for the kind words. I will most certainly be tossing those white connectors in favor of black connectors. I have some black connectors around here somewhere that I either got from MDPC or Performance PCs.. can't remember which. But when I begin sleeving in the next few days I'll be swapping them out.
There won't be any white connectors, yellow or red wires or anything but black molexes showing. Neither will there be any bar codes, stickers or other unsightly items on the motherboard or any of the components. Mr. Detail (moi) has spoken.
I will probably remove them even though the NB fans won't be exposed out in the open. They'll be concealed behind the MNPCTech rad grills that I showed earlier in the project. This is part of the fabrication piece left in that I still plan to design and fabricate two radboxes, one on top and one on bottom.
That was the original idea that I had with Bill's (MNPCTech) beautiful grills, so I would like to stay committed with that to the end--even though it will push the finish date out a little further. MNPCTech was my first partner on this project, and so they deserve a spot in refleXion.![]()

Thought you might want to know, that although I seldom post, i check this thread just about every day since you started this build. I also follow flints too, but he's less active than you.
Keep up the good work, and rest asured I'm probly not the only one that silently follows this very unique and supurb build.

Ah. the hard part begins (sleeving)
Good luck, and take it slow. Staples work good if/when the tool breaks.

Beautiful pics, Xion. Your project's really coming along, especially if your up to sleeving. When will we see some paint?
Thanks, Vinas.
She's getting closer.. little by little.
Thanks, callen. Paint's still a ways off because I'm still working on various parts of the case for little things like wire management, tubing management and such. I'd say it's at least a few weeks away.

I do like the NB fans, they look classy.![]()
Nice job with the Lexan, Xion.
Been lurking around since your first post~ Been coming back everyday for more!!
THE WHOLE CONCEPT AND FINISHING SO FAR IS JUST AWESOME! Keep those updates coming!!![]()
Thanks, KG. Glad to see you around.
Thank you, Sharon!
You know, I try my best to show the impact of the work in these updates on the actual build (similar to the wonderful job that callen has done,) but unfortunately a lot of my work has been experimental and so there's usually a prequel before the big show. But I'm glad that you guys are still able to get something out of them and get a sense of where I'm headed.
Thanks, Obsidian.. I certainly will! Thank you for posting.![]()

1000th post of the worklog---woohaaah.
It's just too cool that that happened by sheer chance.
And the journey continues.. hope that I haven't lost too many of you who were around in the beginning. Thanks to all who continue to follow and especially to those of you who have stuck with the project since the beginning.![]()

I still drool all over myself when I see your pics.
Are you taking them in the RAW?

Did you enjoy it, illidan? I've received mixed reviews on it. Some have complained about the music (saying it was too "dramatic") and the slow panning shots while saying there wasn't a lot of content.
Personally, I loved the music as I'm trying to make this a dramatic, eye-popping build, so I thought it meshed well with the theme and what I'm trying to do. It was my first go at video, so I expect future works to be much better. Most of the clips were taken a few months ago, so I had a lot less done / parts to show.
Thanks, nigelke. Sleeving should begin soon.
Thanks, vistageek. Yes, I take them in raw and then convert to jpeg once on my PC. How's your project coming along? The one that we had talked about before?
