Launch of Discovering Dengue Drugs - Together - Phase 2 Project

For those of you who didn't see this:

World Community Grid is pleased to launch the Discover Dengue Drugs - Together - Phase 2 project by The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston, Texas, USA and the University of Chicago in Illinois, USA. The mission of Discovering Dengue Drugs – Together - Phase 2 is to identify promising drug leads to combat dengue, hepatitis C, West Nile, Yellow fever, and related viruses. The extensive computing power of World Community Grid will be used to complete the structure-based drug discovery calculations required to identify these leads. For additional information on this project, please click here.

Don't worry, there will be more WU available in the next weeks. The start phase is a little slow.
    Type A: Runtime: 30-100 hours
    Quantity: About 36,000 work units

    Type B: Runtime: 5-10 Hours
    Quantity: About 72,000 work units

    Type C:Runtime: 1 to 5 Hours
    Quantity: About 22,000,000 work units

    Replication 2
When I see the reported running times, I'm actually happy not to get any WU from the initial set.

Check also if you meet the RAM requirements.
One thing I couldn't figure out is whether WCG also has a bandwidth requirement as they had in the beta phase.
    Some beta testers reported this:
Phase 2 requires 384.00kbps download bandwidth. Your computer has been measured at 343.76kbps.

Hmm why does it matter how fast your download rate is? Unless it plans on downloading a crapload of stuff?

I get nervous about bandwidth comments - I'm very limited here at home. Only have a Sprint AirCard at 5GB/month "cap" or get charged an extraneous amount of cash for over usage. Given that I used to use 10GB easily in one month by myself at college, well, it's tough...

    here are some more information:

Type A ("ps" in chart): These work units are the very long running work units.
    Runtime: 30-100 hours
    Quantity: About 36,000 work units
    Download: ~20 MBytes
    Upload: ~2 MBytes
    Identifier: ps
Results: Each type A work unit creates two type B work units: (one "se" and one "pe")
Checkpoints: 50 times within a work unit. Evenly throughout the run, every 2%.

Type B ("se" or "pe" in chart): These work units are faster with very frequent checkpoints.
    Runtime: 5-10 Hours
    Quantity: About 72,000 work units
Download: ~2MBytes (se) or ~20MBytes (pe)
    Upload: ~2MBytes (se and pe)
    Identifier: se, pe
Results: Each type B work unit creates about 250 to 350 type C workunits
Checkpoints: As frequently as every 10 seconds, but per member's project preferences

Type C: This type of work unit represents the bulk of the overall work to be done.
    Runtime: 1 to 5 Hours
    Quantity: About 22,000,000 work units.
Download: ~2MBytes (sq, sd, sr) or ~20MBytes (pq, pd, pr, pc, pl)
    Upload: < 1MBytes
Identifier: pq, pd, pr, pc, pl, sq, sd, sr
Results: These are the final step. Results are sent to researchers
Checkpoints: As frequently as about 1 per minute, but per member's project preferences
Obviously the runtime is for standard PCs

Took my Opteron 8356 58 hours but my partner took 130. 1000 points woulda been nice. Wonder what his cpu was as i thought 2.3gz was pretty slow. Guess alot of sub-2gz still out there. It's all cool though. Kinda neat to get something different.

The two I've completed are still pending validation.

Have now completed 2 of the big WUs. Stats page showed 5k points for the first one even though the Results showed 765. I thought it was just a fluke. Now on the second WU same thing. Nice points for the return but why the difference between pages?

58 hours for first one 45 for this one.

    Also passed 20,000,000 points.

The results page shows BOINC credits, the stats page shows WCG points. BOINC credits * 7=WCG Points.

Sorry I was not clear. The My Stats page and the Results Status page, both on WCG site. Results Status > Valid shows 700+ and the My Stats, shown above, more than 5000 points per wu.

Nope, I am the "lucky one." Just got one last night, it had been 10 hours already and another 27 hours to go.
