I'm eager too see how this performs against my (piotres) minifreezer![]()
System is doing quite well. I have set inside temprature to be between 0 .. -20 with Q9650@4.5Ghz|1.6v and Radeon 4870X2 system. If i remove limitation inside stops around -30c~ if system under extreme load furmark+prime95).
Evap temp is around -44c idle and -38c during load.
Any condensations i haven't had, but if keep insidetemp -30..-40c for longtime i have occured random crashes, i assume some components won't handle that cold so well.
At moment i'm doing serious sound insulation for compressors, replacing old 5mm plastic walls with 5mm iron plates to keep compressors noises lower![]()
I just read the whole thread and it just blew me away . Absolutly amazing work . I have nothin else to say . Absolutly amazing![]()

Toasting in this epic bread and slamming the sub button so hard that Sweeper's gonna feel it
I just found this thread and read it from beginning to end and am in complete awe. It makes me wonder what I would be capable of if I had access to some machine tools or a CNC machine... or.. SOMETHING!
Thanks guys for keeping this post alive and motivating me to move foward with this build. I have good and bad news. The good news is that I've been busy with getting ready for our baby boy coming in May. I've had a lot of honey-do lists to finish for my wife. I've also been working 7 days a week for the last two months, which helps my finances. Now the long hours are over and the baby's room is complete, I can start back working on the build.
The bad news is that I've totally disassemble the build. I had several problems with leaks and getting the liquid cooling system to hold the load I was hoping to accomplish. It turns out the compressor is not large enough, so now I'm going a different route. I'm getting the parts together to build a stronger system to handle the heat loads.
The cooling chamber will still have a single stage compressor, because it does have a large heat load. The liquid cooling system will have 3/4 hp compressor or I'm thinking of going with a small two stage cascade system for cooling the two GPU's and NB/SB. The phase exchange for the CPU will be a two stage cascade. I've started assemby of some of the systems and should start posting pics again soon.
I really hate starting over, but its better to get it right this time. I've learn alot from my mistakes, so hopefully the changes will finish faster than when I was experimenting in the beginning of the build.

Now you're adding cascades? As if this wasn't extreme enough already! This will surely set world records!
Absolutely awesome work, sweeper. Looking forward to those pics!
P.S. Congratulations on your baby boy!
I just found this thread Sweeper and read through all 26 pages and there's nothing I can say that hasn't been said already. I just can't believe my eyes in how amazing this build is. And I applaude your pererverence in getting this build together over the last few years. Don't give up now - you're so close!
Are you still planning on SLI 285s and a 920? A 980X and two 480s (or three, if you can fit it) would be awesomely epic and certainly take top spot at HWBOT (goodness knows the Fermi's are hot enough to warrant cooling like this). I'm waiting for the country to go dark when you finally unleash this Goliath.![]()
Dang!! If you match the computing and cooling power of this it will probably be able to play c\Crysis 2 on something like 64x AA!!!!!
Hello my friend , congratulation again for little chiquitoand I hope Goliath be ready the next month
, the 6 cores AMD 1090T is coming and is really crazy CPU for overcloking ( 6.29Ghz ) I was thinking you can get that speed with Goliath

Hola Amigo,
Thanks for the congratulations, it won't be long now until my little man will be here! I doubt Goliath will be ready by the time you come to visit. I'm working on the system in the even after work. I hope the case will handle two cascades and a single stage....I'm running out of room fast!
See you in a few weeks...drive safe!
Well at least it's still alive![]()
I just read through all 27 pages and simply put wow keep it up hope to see this thing done sometime
this started on 2007
and u still didnt finish it
i didnt find any pic of a system in it
I can't help but lol when I read this thread. Not that I'm laughing at you or anything disrespectful, it's more a lol about how epic this thread has become over timeI remember looking at it years ago and now it looks like you're going for yet another revision of your project for even crazier end-game :P I really just want to see it with an actual computer turned on inside before I die
Keep up the good work!
