I feel Brian has really stepped up to the mark here.
I received my 2 replacements and although there are a few rough edges you can really see the improvements they have made.
The pictures above show the glue around the band and I don't know what's happened there but I never had any issues with the old way it had been done.
I have had mine installed and running for over 8 hours and all seems well.
I know that is not long enough but you can really feel the difference.
Brian could have easily chucked the towel in but in my eyes, he didn't.

So has this latest version leaked in anyone's computer yet?

If it had leaked on anybody in this forum at this point, this thread whould have been lit up with non stop complaints. Its gonna take more time to really know. Mine has been leak teasting all week and will continue for the next several weeks until I finish my case work. No leaks for me. I think that this revision is a safe version, but we have lost the top fill port, have to use those dinky floppy/cd-rom screwsin place of case screws, and no more metal plugs fro the front.

is your new t3 hard screwed to though?
vibration from the working pump + res being bolted to the case was identified as one of the probable causes of cracking, as far as I remember

The story so far is that the original T3 couldnt handle the stress due to the poor quality of the acrylic being used by the manufacturers in China. The theroy now is that since manufacturing has moved to the U.S. and can be better watched with better material and the new mounting system, that the leaks are a thing of the past. So it should be able to handel the stress that you mentioned and not leak. Should being the operative word here.

    indeed it should
this thing is killing me, T3 would allow my WC loop to be so much less of a mess, but there's alot of doubt associated with it

IMHO, its time to give up on injection molding acrylic water cooling parts especially around vibrating fatigue loading pumps... We've seen it fail before....

You have to cut out a set of drive rails.

~270 hours now, tissue is still dry. I saw signs at about this point with the previous one. It's just sitting in the case though, previously it had been fastened.

It's not that bad, use a dremel to thin out the material on the bend and then use a set of pliers to bend it back and forth till it snaps off clean. Just be careful that the dremel doesn't get away from you.

I like cutting up nice cases

I saw a install video on Primo's site. They seem to be working hard to fix this.

They are now sending rubber washers to take some stress off the case mounting points. Also talk about changing the pump mounting screws soon.

I'm kinda glad I've drug my feet on my WC projects, when I get a replacement, I'm hoping It's all sorted. Now I got to get another D-5.

Unhappy Damn the Typhoon III still hasn't been fixed?

Well This topic here sorta is what I want done:

    http://www.overclock.net/water-cooli...revamp-my.html

But as for here, I made a topic like months back about the T3 and they were supposed to be fixed by now...

I really want to revamp my loop and make it more clean and easier and the T3 just seems so perfect...except for its failure rate

Any suggestions since OCN is being slow?
