    Multi Proc Board, Run With 1/2/3 Processors?

    TYAN S4985G3NR Thunder n4250QE Quad 1207

    thats the board also what would be a minimum power req for this board if i got I would use for WCG and network Fileserver.

    can it run with 1 processor?

    Skycrane has this setup with 4 cpus and its runs roughly 500W loaded for WCG.

    gaww.. i so will never get.. i wish i could, and I "could" afford it.. but need to go back to school.. .. perhaps near down the road.

    It can run with 1, 2, and 4 CPUs (not 3).
    Power draw depends on type and number of CPUs - my quad 8347HE draws around 360W from the wall at full BOINC load.

    Yea, that's what I got. I've got 3 of them running right now. They draw 450w. On full load with boinc running the 8356s from the guy on ebay
    Its not overkill if it works.
