I tested it with 2x 120mm fans without rad in place and i got substantial air flow. Might cut it down a little. The holes.

also i am going to run the fans on low voltage anyways like 7v. keep it silent.
So cutting it might help. might have to do that with my dremel i just got.
Something else to do over the weekend.
Also just got these grills in yesterday for the top of my rad.
