Obsidian 800d - extreme mod
Just started my watercooled project using the new Corsair Obsidian 800D all black case. This case is huge 2' Tall X 2' Long X 9 Wide". You can easily put a large GPU, PSU, and E-ATX motherboard into this case.
I had to make a lot of mods as I wanted to use the new Black Ice SR1 series radiators and they are larger than most of the competition, thus I had to cut, drill, and take apart a large portion of the case to get them to fit.
The project was a lot of fun, but I have to admit I was nervous about cutting and drilling a brand new case that cost nearly $300 USD.
I've attached some finished photos with details on what I did so far! I'll include a build list in my next post, as well as some more detailed photos of what I did to mod it.

High Velocity = high rpm/airflow? Then why choice of SR1 series of rads that are optimised for silent slow rpm/low airflow fans? And can you give a bit more detailed info on 'Reversed Bottom' part? Also with all those cutouts and removing of lover disk enclosure .. how does case integrity feels? No need for extra strenghtening?
