I've followed & read enough forum posts here & in B3D forum, that early on, many speculating, suggesting, even insisting, that GF 100 or whatever it was called/rumored back then, will be smaller than GT 200b, beating ATi in transistor density in this node round.

I'm not Charlie's total believer, i find it hard to believe his 5% GTX 480 advantage over HD 5870, and his GTX operating temperature revelation is also suspicious, but atleast in this matter, he has been very consistent for a long time, and proven right in the end, end of story.

i don't think one has to be dp, i believe you can use the two dvi connectors independantly. also, gf100 cards will support up to 3 monitors in SLI mode, even when using 3d vision.

You do have to use one as display-port for eyefinity or 3 monitors, as one of the DVI's is shared with the HDMI on a 5870.

    ok so....

1.3 depends on how much colour its producing it has a theoretical max of 2560×1600p75 but thats at 24bit/px and goes down to 1920×1200p60 48bit/px

so it should technically be fine hardware wise so it's a driver thing
