A thing of beauty! Any chance you could publish cinebench results when you've got the beast up and running?

Holy SNAP! What kind of apartment building is that you're mounting this thing in?!?
Also ... are those really vid cards or the exhaust ports off the back of a Cylon raider?

Funny thing, the 5970, not what you call a short vid card. But not blocking any sata ports this time. They look so small

In some places they play team sports on fields smaller than that board.

We got lucky with that back when EVGA first came out with the Classified line and we were launching GTs. It's a match made in heaven. It's really cool timing for ATI to be on top of the GPU mountain also since they are primarily red and black.

now i just need to find a tyan M4985 dau board to go with my S4985. we'll see how you do against 32 cores of opti godness mmhhwwaahhhhh
    that would be 4*4*2*2.32=74.24ghz

but all joking aside, that thing looks absolutly sweet
Its not overkill if it works.

I gotta say I've never done a build like this before.
I build machines and keep extras of just about everything on hand but this build has made me smile today.
Little things, like running out of the coarse screws to mount the fans and grills..
    There's 26 120mm openings in this case..Thats 104 of those screws..
I think I managed to find 45 in the house!
Then looking and seeing TWO-1200W PSU's attached and having my mind say:
    "Is this really necessary?"
Then last, stepping back and asking myself if I'm dreaming working with all this state of the art hardware..
The scary part is all the people who put their trust in you.
You get Alan Shepards famous prayer running through your head:
" Please Lord don't let me screw up!"

What fans are you using? I would think with some of the more powerful ones you would need a 3rd PSU just for fans...

For now at least, you could just use 2 of the screws on each fan. A touch more stable with 4, but I've never once seen a problem with using only 2.
