    Only seeing 3 cores inside of Real Temp..

    Sooo..

    i7 920

    I rebuilt my machine over the weekend and went to watercooling.. everything went great no leaks etc.

    I went to check temps and went into Real Temp and im only showing 3 of the 4 cores...

    Does anyone have any idea why this would happen? Did I damage the processor somehow? Windows processor tab will show 8 cores im just curious if theres anyway to verify wtf is going on.

    As long as you show 4 cores 8 threads in CPU-Z and Task Manager, etc, I wouldn't worry.

    Real Temp only shows 2 cores for me on my X5677 and Core Temp doesn't even work with it, but probably just due to not being supported yet.

    Make sure that's not Real Temp GT you are using, it shows 3 core on my CPU too.

    Im also guessing he's running GT...

    GT was meant only for GULFTOWN... which is why its called GT.

    GT wont work on a normal i7.
