Scythe Mugen 2 was and is still one of best air coolers around.
Susano looks mean :p
I lol'd hard at the Biostar joke.
Scythe isn't in this for raw performance, they're in it for ridiculousness and quiet yet affordable performance. They are a good choice if you want something that looks great, performs fairly well and makes hardly any noise.
So...they had something huge that could be used passively, throw 2 fans on it and it cooled very well...they must have noticed, and redesigned the heatsink to be slightly better, making it even better. Mugen 2 anybody? Though, I could be off by a long shot.

scythe the bigger they are, the worst they performance... idk they tend to fail on heatsink department.

what happened to the other oversized heatsink they showed back at CES iirc?

I've very very happy with the performance of my MUGEN 2, so I'd hope to see good things from this monstrosity. I wonder how this compares to an H50 or a 120mm rad (dare I say 240mm rad?) setup.
I just wonder how we'll install cards when this heatsink is mounted.![]()

Hmm, that Susano thing would fit nicely in a upcoming HTPC/mediabox I'm planning. If one put an 200mm fan on top of it and build the chassi-box to align nicely on top of that, it would actually not require any more fans. The airflow would go across all components and out in the bottom.![]()

Susano is HILARIOUS, it is like they are making fun of themselves and other heatsinks.
so awesome.

lol these things are huuuuuge! but I'm wondering if it can work efficiently....need to see some benchmarks.
An aluminum version of the Yasya is already on the shelves here in Japan...under $50 too![]()
