    Talking E8400 @ 5283,5MHZ / ATI 5850 3dmark01 world 3'rd place air cooled

    Test config:
    E8400 E0/Megahalem + Scythe Ultra Kaze 3000 RPM
DFI LP Dark P45-T2RS Plus bios D914
    Muskin 2x1GB DDR2 D9GMH
    Sapphire ATI Radeon 5850 @ 1055/1200
    Samsung 320GB F3 drive
    Cooler Master Real Power 700W
    XP SP3 Pro

    CPU-Z max Validation: 5283.5 MHZ
    Validation: http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=1052926

    SuperPI: 8.938s @ 5233.3MHZ

    Pifast: 18.72 @ 5101

    3DMark 2001: 90406 and 3'rd place world wide on ATI 5850

    3DMark 2005: 95843

And all of this was achieved with only air cooling!!!! I must admit these DFI LP DK P45T2RS Plus are damn good boars for conroe cpu .
Pitty that I was forced to stop there (cooling could't cope with more), because I feel that this mobo and cpu are able to do much more than this.
Hope that u guys enjoy my work.

Air as in normal (20c) air temp, or some crazy cold night with window open-air?

My E8700 can follow your chip up to 5.16GHz with low voltage, but without cold air it just gets really hot above 1.4v.

I think it's indeed exceptional, especially if you take into consideration the ambient temperature kagula reported. ~5.3GHz E8400 validation and 5.1GHz 2k1 benchable isn't easy, at all!

kagula any plans for sub-zero cooling?

Thank's George for your apreciations! These are the best results I've seen on hwbot until now for E8400 air cooled. All better results (and even many lower) where attained using LN2 or dry ice.

And to answer your question ... I believe I'll have the opportunity to test it under dry ice in about two weeks from now. The good thing is that I'll have time to test maxfsb and optimize memory performance ... things I couldn't until now

because there's only nine days past since i bought this motherboard so it's been little time to play with it.

(Sorry for my english ... it's not the best one)
