BFG to do ATI Radeon Cards?

    From Kyle at [H]

"The rumor we are hearing today is that BFG is going RED! Totally unconfirmed, but given the history I have heard over the last few years...yes years...this does not sound implausible. I am waiting for a response from BFG's CEO, but none is forthcoming."

I would love to see a step up program for ATI cards!

I'd be very concerned if I were an exclusive Nvidia partner, there isn't much to sell now. Going red and selling both makes perfect sense, look at XFX.

ATI could use a few more serious partners selling non-reference cards.
Too bad about BFG pulling out of Europe, though. I've heard their warranty is decent, too.

As a Canadian, this would be welcome news. BFG is the only gpu partner on either side that I know for a fact does RMA within Canada. With most others, our service is dealt with through the states, which takes quite a while ( and in my extreme case China... replacement is 1 year and counting now... HIS = fail )

I always thought BFG died over the years. Havn't heard much about their cards or seen people with them around forums. Probably just me

Either way BFG is welcome to ATi! Though I wish it was eVGA

Mehtinks this thread has gone a little off course.

If Kyle is even partially right on this one it is GREAT news for the market in general as it would bring yet choice to ATI buyers who want excellent warranty support. It's just too bad that this rumor is posted the day after we hear BFG is pulling out of the EU.

I really like PSU reviews by Spectre (Mr. Paul Johnson) there, one of the best in the bussiness. The VGA card reviews are decent too, though rather unorthodox for my taste.

Thats because Kyle himself doesnt do most of those anymore. Most being the key word.

lol my fault. Its just hard to take the guy seriously anymore.

Also, it seems like quite a drastic move to go from pulling out of europe to selling ATi products.

Well according to this XFX cannot sell Fermi cards in Europe most likely due to being in bed with ATI. With BFG pulling out of Europe and maybe going to ATI at the same time, there could be a correlation here.

In that case, if BFG is really going for ATI, this explains why the 5830 review on Hardocp was incredibly biased and pathetic.

"Perfect Performance" and "Gold Award" to AMD's worst release in years, anyone?
Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?

    Mabyboi..in that same article..
Addendum 5th August 2008: EVGA has made an official statement about this matter refuting the claim made by AMD that EVGA approached it, instead EVGA claims it to be the other way around:

I have just deleted 19 comments in this thread, mostly flames about [H]. More than half the responses thus far!

Let's keep the news about the news and forego the comments that have the potential to create an inter-forum flamewar, shall we?

Edit: Moving the thread to Tech Talk as well. "Rumors from Kyle @ [H]" doesn't really count as news (at least here).
