Booting and quick SuperPI 1M @620 FSB no tweak but the OS ...that's what is called a FLAT10 guys \o/


This is the Max FSB reached atmo : 630mhz ...rised to 640mhz with set FSB and crash ! Seems that I have my E8600 bottleneck here

...but what's pitifull, I don't remember how I did that on air now I am under SS

No way for a post over 490 (not a ram issue for sure cus they hit 700C5 easy on UD3)

I'm using latest official bios and 333/667 strap

k try bios 812 it gave me highest overclock with lowest voltage and highest fsb on my e8400 and lotso f others to so you might try taht

Hi ... I'm having dificulties to get the ram to work @ 600MHZ or higher. I have one Mushkin Redline D9GKX kit and Mushkin D9GMH kit and they worked @ 1200MHZ with 2.32vdimm on the Gigabyte EP45-UD3P mobo I had before. And this limits my max frequency to 5283.5MHZ. I know my cpu is probably able to do more ... but ram won't stabilise @ 1200Mhz not with fsb 500 .
What settings do you advise me to use? please post some templates for ram oc-ing.

I have:
1. Mushkin 2GB(2x1GB) XP2-6400 4-4-3-10 2.0v cod:996523 (D9GMH)
2. Patriot Viper PVS22G9600ELK DDR2 1200MHZ (5-5-5-12) 2x1GB kit 2.3V (Elpida chips)
3.Mushkin Redline 2x1GB DDR2 1000MHZ (they are inside the computer D9GKX)
will post tomorrow more about them. All 3 kits had been tested and were stable at 1200MHZ with 1.32v on the Gigabyte EP45-UD3P I had before.

In the OC session I used lattest official bios (914). I tried bios 812 but it detects the vid off my cpu as 1.0375 when the real vid of the cpu is 1.2 and when I tried it and loaded a profile stored from bios 914 it damaged another kit of Mushkin D9GMH I had .

About the FSB Vref i cant realy tell you something, did you tried lower gtls for cpu? and the other models 0-0-2 or 5-5-2 also try to disable the enhance memmory stuf and flex memory mode. this worked for me to get more stable at lower voltages. also i found out that the standard performance lvl of this bord is verry low like 8 try an other performance lvl like 9 or 10 or even 11 and 12. maybe try other bios?? DA03 is also a good one im using that one now for my permanent OC.

Please explain how to remove the heatsink assembly. I have a DFI DK P45-T2RS plus but my Northbridge temp is way too high @ 50c idle. I want to apply some good quality thermal paste to the Northbridge but how did you get it off ... thanks!

well simply lose the screws and then turn over the mobo (so now you have its back insight.) then push the white pins into the mobo and then try to remove it

yeah I have no problems with the screws, it's just those white plastic push pins, when I tried to release a heatsink before on a different board a push pin snapped!

use USB Flash its all on the dfi site @ bios section of your bord. also i just use latest doesnt realy matter since the last 3 bioses.

Hi, I've flashed the bios to the latter one vercion, but I have a problem, and that still does not recognize my Q9650 ...
It stays in the C1 code and a E4600 works perfectly ... ...
