$299 for GTX 470 is great news, and if it matches/beats 5850 then it probably means we get GTX 480 for $399, and the dual GFi00 for $499, (based on my own guess/speculations on price ).
But this price-scenario means that ATi has a refresh (or new GPU) ready to fight the Fermi at launch time.

This is a great news, it means we are back to the price-war, and the area of $499 for the top dog.
