I doubt my nf7-s will do past 260fsb, thats amazing you are getting near 300MHz. you could do the vdimm mod but beware, the ondie memory controller does not have the high volt tolerance which the ram does. maybe get pc3700? it runs cas 2.5 so its not bad and you should do 240-250fsb with that ram
At first i thoght you had mistaken the mobo for a nForce2 mobo, then you start talking about the on-die memory controller which indicates that you are aware of it beeing a nForce3 mobo for a A64.

Also, you can not compare running high FSB on a nForce2 with running high FSB(HTT) on a nForce3. Most nForce3 mobos will do 300+ FSB unmodded as there is no NB to hold you back.

About running high vdimm i would say 3.2 is fairly safe. I have been running 3.4-3.6 the last couple of months, and everyting is working fine.
