Yes - agree - when compared side-by-side to the x25-V, looks like the vertex really struggles with 4k writes and acc. time.
What condition was your drive in when you ran this - is this representative?

I've got one of those and a AS SSD score of ~190 is representative.
The 120-250GB editions are a bit faster, you can add 20-30 to that score.

He's using IDE in that test but it doesn't make that much of a difference on the Indilinx controller.
