Just found the Tech Specs and yes it's a TN panel .

No way I'd pay $450 for this. For $450 I could get two 25" 1920x1200 LCDs and run dual monitors.

Or switch both 25" monitors around at around 60 Hz to get your 120 Hz gaming monitor. Might be a bit cumbersome to do though.

It's called: "Moar phrames".
It just runs at 120 Hz and to get 3D you have to use shutter glasses to provide each eye 60 fps.

Nope, the ViewSonic 23.6" 1080P V3D241wm-LED will be the first and is targeted for Q2. Looking forward to this one myself as well as I'd like less BLB that's what on this VX2268wm 120Hz.

You can't be 100% certain that the 1080p 120 Hz ViewSonic will actually have less backlight bleed than your current monitor. Not until you see any tests though, but the mere fact they used LED as back lighting will not guarantee you it will have less BLB. I'm not saying BLB will be the same or worse, it probably is better, but you won't know until you see it for yourself.

Its a case by case scenario, my xl2370 has very low bleed. Its a different kind of light bleed though, the led almost makes the panel glow, compared to ccfl. My xl2370 has a huge brightness 350cd/mm2, the dell g2410 has almost zero bleed but is also a lot less bright. Pay attention to brightness, that will tell you if it has more bleed than not. I can handle a little light bleed for the extremely bright and crisp colors I get.

Nvidia 3d vision isnt worth upgrading for. If thats why you want a 120hz monitor your making a mistake. Buy a 120hz monitor for smoother frames and clean images. 3d vision sounds a hell of a lot cooler than it actually looks.

Yes I know LED isn't a garantue for less BLB but in my case the BLB is very disturbing cuz it's like totally blue! I don't mind the little grayish BLB I can notice in the other edges but the blue tint black has at bottom edge is totally disturbing:



Brightness at 100% in that pic, ofc it helps a lot by reducing brightness but even at like 25 it's still very noticable in dark scenes.

To topic:
I've now used to 22" 1680x1050 which is 16:10, and I definitely wouldn't want to go for 16:9... this FullHD hype is just Full marketing. If you do anything else than watch movies (which will most probably still leave black edges because most of them are not 16:9), you'd be better with 16:10 ratio. And watching video on a TN screen... its something I never want to do again after I'll get rid of my TN-sh*t (Samsung 2233BW)

Not really,input lag is caused by processing inside the monitor and "usually" higher end models *VA/*IPS have more input lag than TN's but that's not always true since the latest eIPS and C-PVA monitors have low input lag, under one image,DELL 2209WA and Samsung F2380 are fine examples of this.
But pixel responsiveness is another thing and in this category TN still rule.

That was my point precisely. Having IPS panel doesn't automatically mean you'd get high input lag.

As for response time it doesn't really bother me much on a PC monitor. Somehow I notice ghosting on TV much more easily than on a PC monitor
