I know you guys all hate him, but....

Dj just took the number 2 spot.

    Here is his score.

    Crazy CPU speed. I'm impressed.

He just took the top PCMArk score too. http://service.madonion.com/compare?pcm=742392

Yeah that is a pretty good score... although for his clocks.... ok I wont say it

Pretty damn nice CPU he's got there to manage that on watercooling ... didnt think i'd be looking forward to the launch of the 3.06 P4 but I am now... my 2.8 is a pos compared to that, the 3.06 might even things out a bit... I hope

Yeah my 2.8 is very dissapointing right now. I benched for 2 days with it and haven't done anything else since as I am totally unable to get any higher the 3.58 GHz stable.

    Will,

how much do you offer for mine?
3750 in an IT7-MAX2 and prometeia ... unfortunately the max2's memory OC sucked so hard that I had to use an older IT7 and lost some CPU OC...

I'll say he's benched a very excellent score indeed

My question once again, as I had my balls busted repeatedly about this in the past by the MadOnion-ites...is why not the full bench?? This would indeed prove the stability and worthiness of his excellent overclock. This fact was drilled into me as being MadOnion etiquette...that only full benches are considered legit benches.

My own teamates are guilty of this also..and I once again ask the team to adhere to the full bench philosophy. It does separate the
fully stable system from the "stable long enough to run the games" systems.

It seems as all the top scorers have adopted the "games" only approach...and I disagree. The bench is not only for the highest score but to exhibit total system stability in running the bench.

I ask of all my teamates once again to adhere to the full bench policy, set the example, and prove to the world your system is not only the fastest but also fully stable in doing so. If it freezes or kicks back in the lower tests...whose fooling who??

I don't want to hear the old "it's only the games that counts" ideology. The games count for score, the entire bench tests the full stability of your system...let's just do it

    Randi,

I'll try and remember that... i'm just so used to running just the game ones that I usually forget to do the rest when I do a good enough run to publish...

The trick to it is to bench the games tests, save the result and then clock down your graphics card to defaults and run the rest.

I have to say I hardly ever run the full test. What I tend to do is max everything out so I know what ballpark score ill get, then when I get a decent run ill finish it off with the other tests. The only full tests I have submitted are my "Final" results, where I know I cant get any higher. While im still tweaking I only submit games test results.

My opinion regarding running all the benches is that it is pointless...JMO. As PiLsY says you can just clock down to run the rest of the tests, so it really doesn't prove full stability at the clocks you ran for the game tests.

Since he can't really speak for himself, I'll tell you what I know. Back when the Ti4600s roamed the ORB, and 16,000 was the goal, I believe it took him 50 tries to get a 16,000 score that wouldn't crash on the last game test. So when he finally got one, it:

    1. Probably slipped his mind
    2. Was sick of sitting at his computer and published the bastard.

I'm sure that is still somewhat the case now. I agree, full bench should be run, it's nice, but doesn't really matter that much.

    Nice score DJ.

my 2 penneth on the subject is that i agree that the big maxxed out scores should be run with a full test with no clocking down of the card ... we all know that the clocking down of the card can be spotted in the end results anyway ...but lets remember we are in XTREMESYSTEMS.ORG 3DMARK TEAM we have a team captain who is MRICEE and our captain wishes its members to do the test to show the quality of the people that we have here so lets do it ... please dont flame me for this as its just my point of view like others have posted theres

and although i havent had much to do with DJ i do admire his benching skills and say well done to a damn fine score

I can not wait to see what the re-opening of the ORB will do for the top scores. I have a feeling Mr.Viggen will show us a little something.
