    Isn't 1.8V too high for Elpida Hyper chips for daily use ??

    I don't know about daily usage, probably not.
    But for benching it's fine.
    Note that I'm talking about the MGH-Es & the latest revision of the BBSEs.
    The old MNH-E usually die at 1.7V+ so be careful if you have a memory kit with those chips.

I should have jumped on the ADATA 2133's from memoryC but I already purchased the dominator GT's.
    Mind are most likely BBSE as they were cheap 4GB A-DATA 2000X at AUD$136 no way they'd be Hypers when hypers retail in Australia at AUD$295+ for 2x2GB Corsair GT kits. Optimal volts for all 10x 2GB A-DATA 2000X modules for me is between 1.58v and 1.62v.

    Ok, for now on X38 mobo max is almost 900MHz at CL6-8-6-16-1T, I think my only limit is motherboard, ram is ok. I can bench at 872MHz 6-8-6-16-1T with PL 8, and with vdimm not more than 1.7V. Not bad for this price and 2 x 2GB kit.

    Any other bench is also possible. Already my friend testing this kit on P55, but He have problems to reach 9XXMHz at CL7

    What is Your max stable freq at CL6 and CL7 ? Mine kit can bench CL7 at more than 950MHz on Maximus Extreme. Also my friend test this kit and He told me more than 1000MHz ( CL 8 ) is easy with litlle tune on MSI based on P55

    zsamz, only 2x2GB DDR3 config i tested on REX was Kingston 2000C8 Elpida Hypers @DDR3-1952Mhz 7-7-7-21 but they needed loosening the following timings for higher clocks

    * tRTR_S= 5
    * tRTR_D = 9
    * tWTW_S = 5
    * tWTW_D = 9

    maybe same for A-data 2000x ?

    Don't have much luck with Elpida ram do you heh. Sure it's not your board? Eva, Cheapseats and Myself have all been able to run SPI32M at DDR2-1920+ C7 and Cheapseats & myself managed DDR2-2000 MHz C7.

    There's a SS somewhere where I ram 10+ passes of memtest at 600 FSB PL8 / DDR2-1920 MHz so the platforms definitely capable of it.

    I think 2 x 2GB sticks really just push the NB to the limit once you get over DDR2-1960 or so and you have to have a pretty special board to be able to pull those kind of speeds off totally stable.

    i'm not gready
    i just needed 1670mhz cas7 for my 24/7
    my hypers can do that@ cas6 and 1940mhz stable @ cas7 but my REXII usin em
    a shame i sold my 2 2x2 micron sets i wish i could buy em back for the same price i sold em they toped out @ 1940mhz stable

    its not much to ask of a set to do 1700mhz cas7
    even in my evga ftw i got a bsod @ 2000mhz cas9

    2000mhz cas9 stable tough on my rex

    tested on rexII 8-9-8-24 memtest stable not windows stable

    After many hours with reset and f10 key I can do DDR3 1800 6-8-6-16-1T on RE.

    I think more is also possible, but I'm not sure about final 2k ddr3.

    Just some preview results while i continue to do more tests http://i4memory.com/f80/preview-dfi-...tml#post125703

    For single Super Pi 32M managed to 2x2GB A-DATA 2000X @DDR3-2234Mhz 9-9-9-24 1T at 1.66v and @DDR3-2207Mhz 9-9-9-24 1T at 1.64v both with QPI 4.8GT/s (18x multi). Hitting my current bclk limit of 223bclk.

    2x2GB A-DATA 2000X @DDR3-2234Mhz 9-9-9-24 1T at 1.66v

    2x2GB A-DATA 2000X @DDR3-2207Mhz 9-9-9-24 1T at 1.64v

    2x2GB A-DATA 2000X @DDR3-2187Mhz 9-9-9-24 1T at 1.64v

    I tried HyperPi v0.99b for 4x 32M Pi run but couldn't get DDR3-2207Mhz 9-9-9-24 1T 1.64v stable erroring out around 4-7th loop. Still fairly new to P55 platform so haven't figured out all the bios settings as yet. So dropped down the memory clocks until I could pass 4x 32M Pi test in HyperPi v0.99b and ended up at DDR3-2187Mhz 9-9-9-24 1T at 1.64v but had to loosen tRFC from 88 to 110 and tFAW from 30 to 35.

    Been looking around online and not many P55 folks showing 4x 32M Pi stability tests ??

    Nice testing Eva Special thanks for the info about vdimm for this clocks.

    My first A-Data set go to rma with RE without any reason I just test some fsb settings with high mem clock, and after this mobo die, and take also memory. But I'm lucky, shop where I buy this ram change for me this faulty set to new one, and for now 2000MHz DDR3 with 7-9-7-21-1T on P55 @ 1.65v.

    I had 0.6L of LN2 and was thinking about doing something with it.
    Coca cola bottle + hard seal was one of the ideas, but then I saw the RAM kit on the bench table and said...hmm.... BloodRage NB pot + RAM + classified + memtest86+

    And there it went
    I quickly set up the Classified, the cool i7 950 SuperMem Controller Edition & the 3 A-data DDR3-2000X DIMMs... boot to BIOS, preset DDR3-2000 7-7-7-23, save & exit & shut down.
    I cooled the RAMs to -10C or so and tried DDR3-2050 6-7-5-20... 5 loops of memtest86+ test #5 = error-free
    Reboot, DDR3-2200 7-7-7-22 and -5C or so... 5 loops of memtest86+ test #5 = error-free
    Reboot, last LN2 drop and... DDR3-2250 7-8-7-23 1 loop of memtest86+ test #5 = error-free

    I guess I need a good RAMpot and... well, insulate the DIMMs and the DIMM slots next time I bench on LN2
