    Most interesting part is this.

    * SATAがGen3対応となり、6Gbpsの転送速度を持つSATA 600になること
    * USB 3.0コントローラーを搭載すること

    I was wondering when this would pop up. About time. How old is x58/p55 now?

    Is this in line with the same timeline transition that p35 -> p45?

    Thanks, but that's pretty much what we are getting with some X58 refresh boards right? X58-UD7, P6X58, RIIIE... Except for the future support for the Intel octocores, that is.

    Wait, what? DMI? So X68 takes a step back from QPI? I think X58 will still be the top performer if this is true.

    No you aren't reading it right. It's saying it will use DMI v2.0 for X68 -> ICH11 link instead of DMI v1.0. It still uses QPI for CPU <-> IOH link.

    Hum, I would have thought X68 destined for Sandybridge next year. What was the time line from P35 to X58 about a year and a half or so no?

    Does anybody know that X68 will use the existing 1366 socket or based on a new one? Hopefully it will still use 1366.

    Total speculations... Of course they are coming, but they are unsure when and with what features (except for obvious new SATA and USB).

    Was just about to ask whats gonna be the new features X68 will bring to the table.
    I guess I wouldn't wanna hear the "Oh noes, X58 can do that" by then.

    So 2011 then, thank God, at least my R2G can have its 1st b-day before the brother arrives. LOL
